Twilight would have to become the Princess and Luna would be very upset. Princess Celesta is really old so i am just wondering that and please share your views and interesting comments on this please. ALL HAIL CELESTIA! Actually, according to their journal, they're suppose to be equal co-rulers, neither one with more power than the other. It seems like an unwritten rule that Celestia has more power, but that wasn't the original idea. Actually, they never wanted to be called rulers at all, but guardians of Equestria. Anyway, Luna is obviously much more qualified for the top job than Twilight at this point. Making Twilight ruler would be like if the President of the United States was assasinated, and they made the governer of Montana President, just cuz. It would be an interesting change up for Luna though, who I think would have to take the role of Sun and Moon raiser much like how Celestia did before, this can be the case until Twilight was ready to take up the task. And regarding what would transpire in the case of Celestia's unlikely demise, I'm quite certain that Luna would follow the appropiate steps of her sister and take the wheel. Swifty 249 October 2, 2015 Share October 2, 2015 (edited) Its not even "her" sun. Luna could replace her raising the sun, as Celestia replaced Luna raising the moon 1000 years ago. If all the alicorns would die, unicorns would still be able to raise the sun and the moon. Some bronies see her as a god even now, but she and Luna arent different to Elrond or Galadriel, who arent gods either. Nothing would really change so to speak. Strategic way: Create the science of a spinning planet instead of planets being "risen" and "set" so that no one will have to raise anything. Exactly like the real world. They'd all be struck hard by Celestia's death, but Luna would need the most support as she's the one who had the closest bond with Celestia. Though I wonder if Luna would die shortly after Celestia.
