So I decided to start this game and anyone can join, what I was thinking is this will be a story we will all create, there will be randomness, silliness, sorrow and a cornucopia of other emotions as everyone adds their own bit. You don't even really need to read what has happened if you come in late and it already has a lot to it, you can still post and your addition could change the whole path of the story. I hope everyone likes this idea and it becomes big :)

Rules:

1. Try to keep your addition slightly relevant to what is previously happening, don't go from a pony walking through Canterlot to suddenly being teleported to the underworld... which could still be relevant in some ways.

2. To make this story as potentially random and unpredictable as it can be, please only post a sentence or two at a time. Don't go off and write out a detailed page of character development where no one else had any part in it.

3. please make an attempt to us proper grammar as to not throw off what your addition might mean.

4. This is the most important part. Have fun!  So no arguing over what was posted or how someone deviated the story, this all for fun and to be unpredictable :)

So I will start it:

On a sunny day in Canterlot, a unicorn stallion by the name of Star Chaser walked through the market district of the city. Until he came upon a peculiar shop that caught his eye that lined the sidewalk, the window had several displays inside and the sign above the door read Magic Galore.

Curious, Star Chaser decided to enter the shop. Surrounding him were books, crystals, staffs, and all other kinds of magical curiosities.

And at the end, behind the counter stood an elder stallion, with a greyed goatee, eyeing him rather fondly.

The Elderly stallion's voice rang out with a surprising resonance for one so old. "Greetings," he sang out looking to Star Chaser with a look of curiosity. "What can I help you with today young man, perhaps a tome of spells or maybe a scrying orb?"

"A tome of spells, you say?" Star asked, head tilted with curiosity as he approached the counter, meeting the stallion's gaze, "What did you have in mind?"

The elder stallion released a raspy chuckle as he wave a hoof behind at a large bookcase. "Well practically anything you'd magic magic wise, I have spells and incantations for those able to cast such magic." He said looking back to the young stallion. "I even have a few copies straight from the library of Princess Twilight herself."

"Princess Twilight Sparkle?!" Star gasped, eyes widening in shock. This strange old stallion certainly had his attention now. Twilight Sparkle was considered one of Equestria's greatest spellcasters.

He rushed up to the counter and stared at the shopkeeper with wonder gleaming in his eyes. "I need to see those books, please!"

Star followed the elderly stallion with anticipation in his eyes, he couldn't wait to take a look at some of the tomes that Princess Twilight herself possessed. "What type of tomes are these?" Star asked curiously.

"Any kind of tome you can think of," The elder pony boasted, smirking back at the excited unicorn, "Ever wanted to breathe underwater? How about fly? Walk right into a book?"

One of the keys was levitated into a doorlock, clicking it open.

"There's books for all those, and more."

"Woah..." Star Chaser gasped, at the thought of learning all these spells. He was a very curious unicorn, and he loved to learn new things.

The door opened, revealing a short hallway lined with shelves covered with rare books. One book in particular caught Star's eye...

Star dashed to the single book that caught his eye, the book had a golden binding with an inlaid blue filigree. Using his magic he pulled the book from the shelf and looked at the cover. The cover read 'Advanced magic and practice' and under that it read 'Starswirled the bearded'.

"Ah, then perhaps you will enjoy this," the storeowner smirked, and levitated a book off a high shelf, blowing dust off it.

The book was dark purple with gold bindings on the spine, with Star Swirl's Secrets: The Two Hundred Spells of the Pre-Classical Era on the front.
