Which Main character has the most insane fervent fanbase

It's a tie between Fluttershy and Rarity because they are the two most misunderstood characters that not many people appreciate. So it's natural for their fan base to be the most passionate and dedicated because so many others overlook what they see most in Flutters and Rare....so they have to be on defense all the time and show the most dedication.

 

I'm not even a die hard Rarity or Fluttershy fan, but I find myself rooting for them more than the others

I lost count how many people I've seen who claim her as their IRL girlfriend, fiance, married to her, or have her in a relationship with their OC/Ponysona.

 

That, and I swear you say anything bad about her, and there's a riot.

Definitely Fluttershy.  She's the perfect waifu for a lot of fans; quiet, cute and very kind.  Flutters is also popular with the show's target audience because she's got that maternal quality about her.

Rarity fans are very crazy. Not necessarily the bad kind of crazy, but they are crazy. And i think this only started around season 3, when alot of people complained that she didn't get an episode there.

 

Fluttershy is also pretty crazy and the Twilight fanbase used to be crazy, but it kinda died down ever since the season 3 finale.

Rarity fans have gotten pretty insane over the last few years, but the Fluttershy fanbase is still as insane as it was at the beginning

Well...I know for sure it's not Spike (unless there's a community of super passionate Spike fans somewhere that I've never come across!)

 

In general though, it's hard to say...when I first got into MLP it felt like there were way more passionate/obsessive Rainbow Dash fans than any other M6, but now it seems to have evened out a bit. For now I'm tempted to say Rarity fans because some seem to have a bit of a persecution complex because they assume Rarity's "hated" so they need to preemptively defend her (and she does get her share of unfair criticism, as do all the M6, but there are also some who are a bit OTT and act like she's the most hated character ever, when that's...really not the case).

 

But passionate fans are awesome! As long as they're not bashing/pitting the M6 against each other, which I hate, it's nice that just about everypony has dedicated fans

Personally, despite being a dash fan, I think its rainbow dash fans. I feel the other fans are very low key to dash fans as we're often complaining about the way dash is depicted in her episodes since the writers have a bad habit of being binary with her (writing her either well or terribly) so dash fans tend to explode alot.

Yeah Iv noticed that with Dash episodes too. They are mostly ether really good or just suck hard. Only like Fall Weather Friends is really average to me. Actually I was personally amazed that Dash managed to escape S2 remaining so popular after how mishandled she was there 70% of the time. But of  course that was back in the days of the crazy Dash Rarity double standard where Dash's flaws were largely ignored and Rarity's picked apart, even if they were super similar.

I don't like to generalize fans if any of the characters since it feels like dividing a fandom even more especially with a fandom that's already divided but I think I'll say Fluttershy fans.

 

I have taken note over the years that the fans of each of the mane six tend to act like the characters they love (I always get this hyper vibe from people with Pinkie avatars) and since Fluttershy tends to be the most sensitive of the mane six, a long with having the ability to get really aggressive, this can really show on her fans' intetnet behaviors. If a character does something somewhat mean to her, they will rage at the writers and send them death threats (Just look at the reactions to Filli Vanilli). It doesn't stop there. I saw a clip of that scene where Gilda made Fluttetshy cry, and a majority of the comments were talking about how they want Gilda dead (I wonder what their reaction was to the Griffonstone episode).

Rarity, but my experience is limited to the forums. I've encountered several harcore Rarity fans here and her fan club is way more popular than any other here.

Rarity. Duh. I swear, people say she's the most beautiful and therefore must obsesses over her constantly. I don't get it though. There is, however, nothing wrong with Rarity fans. I can't hate you if I don't know you.

It's a toss up between Fluttershy and Rarity.

I believe that its definitely the fluttershy fans. The fluttershy fan page on the mlp forums is really active. Also, most of my friends on MLP forums choose fluttershy as their favorite pony . Also I think that a lot of my friends like fluttershy because she's really nice and she's just really adorable (even that emoji of her looks adorable )Personally I prefer rainbow dash better because she matches more with my personality And since day one I always thought of her as my favorite pony, so I am obsessed with her so yea

I would say Rainbow Dash fans. Rainbow Dash can be seen almost everywhere there is bronies. And bronies willing to dress up as Rainbow Dash or carry merchandise with Rainbow Dash on it in public is a testament to how far they are willing to go to show they are obsessed with Rainbow Dash.
