[Odd Ball 231]

Since Season five is almost over, I thought I'd come up with ideas for episodes for the next season, feel free to post your own episode ideas.

 

MLP episode ideas:

 

Spring Along: The Cutie Mark Crusaders help out with Winter Wrap Up in Ponyville, while also try to fix Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon's struggling friendship.

 

Miss Pie's Home for Peculiar Fillies: Pinkie Pie finds a group of orphan fillies and decides to find a home for them.

 

The Dash and the Dangerous: Two of Rainbow Dash's rivals plot revenge to ruin her chance to star in the new WonderBolts movie.

 

Love at First Spike: Spike befriends a filly who had just moved to Ponyville, but has to choose between her and his longtime crush Rarity to go to the Hearts and Hooves Day dance.

 

A Spoonful of Silver: Silver Spoon reveals to the Cutie Mark Crusaders what she wants her talent to be, but isn't sure she is able to replace her current one.

Love the creative names. But I feel as though some episodes wouldn't work or it would be too cramped.

 

Spring Along could be fine if it was ONLY focused on the CMC trying to help with Winter Wrap Up.

 

The second episode idea....that would be a very heartfelt episode. I imagine feels.

A spoonful of Silver: Mmm....I love the name but the episode itself might not interest me that much. We already got this out of Diamond Tiara. Maybe it could be about Silverspoon making her own choices but she struggles because she so used to being bossed by DT

I was kind of thinking about an episode where Twi has to step up and run the country (actual royal duties instead of starting a search party and a cover up) because Cadance is too busy being a proverbial baker and the elder royals have mysteriously disappeared. Part two (kinda like the "Games Ponies Play/ Just For Sidekicks" episodes) will focus on what happened from Tia And Lulu's perspectives to cause them to disappear (I'm thinking Dizzy, being the devious prankster he is, tries to "help" Twi feel more like she can handle more royal duties by making the sisters disappear by shrinking them (hoping for a castle adventure with a bit of unintentional interaction between the mane six and the tiny princesses, but Dis could also just throw them in a hamster cage (the former being more Discords style (chaotic) and the later being more villain cliche))). 

 

Also maybe some family episodes from Shy, Twi, Dash and Rare.

I don't have a title for it, but one idea I've been becoming more interested is one where Rainbow Dash meets Scootaloo's parents and she wants to prove to them that she can be a good role model(because they're the overprotective types and are aware if RD's track record of doing dumb things). It'd give us an excuse to see Scootaloo's parents as well as establish RD as a capable role-model while delivering a "even your heroes are flawed" moral(Yes I know they did this in the comics, but it's still a moral I'd like to see appear in the show). It'd also give us the relationship from RD's perspective

Lightning Dust and Wind Rider team up to crush Rainbow Dash's dream of being a Wonderbolt.

That would be epic to see in season 6.

Sweet Chaos: Discord gives Sweetie Belle his magic so she can go the School for Gifted Unicorns, only for her to become a mini version of him.

 

Pranks a Lot: Pranks Day is Pinkie Pie's favourite holiday, but is disappointed when Mayor Mare cancels it after a prank goes wrong.

 

Breakfast at Applejack's: Applejack creates a new Zap Apple cereal that becomes a huge success, her friends try to do the same but with no luck.

 

Terrible Beasts and How to Avoid Them: Fluttershy faces her worst nightmare, a creature that she can't befriend.

I actually gotta admit, the pinkie pie one is INCREDIBLE. Would love that so freaking much.

To be honest, not really feeling any of those :/ Maybe royal pain and pranks alot, but to be honest, the others seem pretty bad to me. Especially the breakfast at Applejacks. I just don't see the other caring enough to try and make a cereal, the other 5 don't really compete against each other in areas of commerce and they have lots of other ways they could get fame besides cereal.

Sadly, I doubt they'll do that since they already did it (INCREDIBLY poorly) in a friends forever comic, and I think the show staff and writers have a "Don't repeat plotlines" understanding with each other.

I think LOTS of people want that given how big jim tweeted about that idea for an episode the day that Rarity investigates aired XD. that being said, Kind of have my doubts that its actually going to happen since jim trolls so much with BS.

The Lamias Lament: Pinkie Pie finds a lonesome Lamiapony, who has been shunned away by her townsfolk, after she was permacursed by a spell. Pinkie tries to brings her to Ponyville, to show her to the townsfolk, which isn't quite easy.

Absence Makes the Heart Grow Stronger: While waiting for Rarity to return from a week long stay in Manehatten, Spike struggles to finally gain the courage to confess his feeling towards her.  This episode would handle Sparity similarly the Gravity Falls episode "Into the Bunker" handled the Dipper and Wendy relationship.

The CMC have become important characters alongside the mane six. Besides, they're have been plenty of episodes with them that didn't focus on trying to get their cutie marks.

And they did had episodes that didn't focus on trying to get their cutie marks, so yeah, their adventure/story is over. So I guess the CMC are officially disbanded after the events of the Scare Master episode.

Trix of the Trade: Broke and homeless, Trixie returns to Ponyville seeking Twilight's help in bettering herself and getting back on her feet. Twilight suggests Discord help; he accepts and he and Trixie immediately connect. However, they end up bonding more through sharing tricks and pranks rather than making progress.

There are now tons of episode opportunities for the Cutie Mark Crusaders.

We will be able to see the girls execute their talents and help other ponies.

 

You need to stop assuming the worst out of the Cutie Mark Crusaders just because they got their cutie marks.

I doubt it Venomous, but I think COTLM was the last CMC-focused episode.

Quoting myself from another thread:

 

 

 

1.  A "guy" episode starring Big Mac and Spike, possibly on a road trip from Canterlot to the Crystal Empire with Shining Armor and Prince Blueblood.  Spike and Mac are on their way to meet the Mane 6 while Shiny is escorting Blueblood there and they all end up traveling together.  Basically a 30 minute buddy comedy.

 

2.  The Mane 6 have to rescue a village of sea ponies who are being terrorized by an evil siren.  This might even be good for a two-part season opener.

 

3.  Rarity takes Maud Pie with her to go gem/rock hunting.  Maud gets abducted by the Diamond Dogs and Rarity has to rescue her, only to realize that they're having a rougher time dealing with Maud than they had with Rarity.

After a failed attempt at assisting the gang with another giant monster attack. Spike seeks to find ways to become stronger.

 

Time after Time:

Celestia and Luna visit the castle of two sisters and uncover a series of riddles left by starswirl the bearded.

 

Fried Green Apples:

When a big storm keeps the Crusaders in the apple home, Granny smith decides to tell them a story.

I started thinking after seeing Rainbow's Nightmare Night costume. I like that the ponies have some sort of space travel concept.

 

"The Mare Who Sold the Moon"

 

Luna at first feels apprehensive when she learns that a group of Earth Pony scientists are building a rocketship capable of reaching the moon. Apprehension slowly turns to admiration, only to have Luna be crushed at their refusal to listen to her advice on lunar conditions. When tragedy strikes, Luna talks Celestia into sending her back to the moon to rescue the intrepid explorers.

 

I picture the rocketship as looking like something from those old Flash Gordon serials, not something NASA would build.  Some vital component will fail, and Luna will bring the replacement. Then, she will choose to ride back with the explorers rather than returning via her sister's magic.

This idea came out of a conversation I was having on another thread. Not my idea, but it is awesome. I want an episode where Daring Do goes on an adventure and Zecora helps her out. It could bring more character development to both characters. They need it.

AppleJack Of All Trades: When AppleJack's friends secretly rebuild her damaged henhouse, she decides to do all their usual jobs for the day.

 

Dragon Reunion : Spike meets a female dragon his age in the Everfree Forest, and finds out she is his long lost twin sister.

 

When You Wish Upon A Stone: When fixing her hair, Silver Spoon realizes she was born with a horn on her head; thus making her a unicorn. Diamond Tiara becomes jealous and starts a quest with Silver and the CMC to find the legendary wish stone so she came become a unicorn.

 

Friend or Foe: The Cutie Mark Crusaders are excited about the new filly school, until they find out she is actually a young changeling.

 

Chaos Land: A group of business ponies come to Discord's home dimension and want to turn it into a theme park.

Cranky and Matilda have a new neighbor... Cheese Sandwich.  Will one of Cranky's schemes send the Party Pony packing... or is it going to be an all-out war of wits?

 

Dark Side Of The Moon: [sx E6]

After a coincidence brings up sour memories, Luna recalls some of her long nights on the moon, while Celestia tries to find a way to forgive herself for banishing her sister for so long.

When Angel falls asleep in the wrong place, he awakens to find himself all the way on the other side of Equestria.  Will he be able to get back to Fluttershy... or will this journey be too hare-raising to complete?

 

Little Boutique Of Horrors: [sx E11]

Rarity and Fluttershy discover a beautiful and mysterious new flower - but when Rarity puts it on display at her Canterlot boutique, strange things begin happening to the customers.  Even worse, Princess Cadence is one of the victims!

When a spell from Twilight goes horribly wrong, the Mane 6 are turned into foals!  It's up to Derpy, Doctor Whooves and a mysterious Changeling youngster to solve the riddle while keeping the little ones safe and sound.

The Mare-Do-Well returns... but none of the Mane 6 are responsible!  What's more, she seems to be intent on wreaking havoc instead of ending it!  Who knows what evil(?) lurks in the hearts of ponies..?

Equestria's greatest musicians gather for an all-out benefit concert for the recovering Griffon Empire, to be held in Canterlot... but will Vinyl Scratch and Octavia make the cut while maintaining their friendship?  Or is this to be their swan song?
