Fanfiction advice

So I want to start writing fanfics, however everything I make is crap. So anyway, could any of you give me some advice for better writing? Thanks. Much appreciated.

Um... what do you mean by crap? You don't like the plot structure (no pun), you don't have grammar down pat? What's up? Maybe post a paragraph and let us have a look-see. :3

Helpful advice tends to be more helpful if we can actually read the fanfic in question.

well anyway my stories are just kind of lacking in detail and such like there just kind of... blah.

I see. Have you tried a compilation? I am assuming you have general ideas about how the story starts, goes about, and ends, but just... blah. If you provide framework, having somepony else go over it with some razzle dazzle might be fun for both of you. I have been told that I have a tendency to go into too much detail if I'm not careful, so toning it down is a bigger issue for me. Do you have the story posted anywhere so I could take a look? Or even email it to me.

FiMfiction.net also has a group of proofreaders and prereaders, any of which would be happy to help you out.

Your description of your problems also lacks detail.

Just give us a link to one of your stories or something, and it'll be so much easier to tell you how you can improve, trust me.
