Powerpuff Girls and the Power Ponies

Why does the Power Ponies resemble the Powerpuff Girls, and are they like the Powerpuff Girls, the Justice League, and the Avengers?

The only thing I see that's similar is the eyes. The powerpuff girls wear more casual clothing whilst the power ponies wear full on superhero suits.

I don't see much of a similarity at all, to be honest. I suppose, as chirox the pony said, that the eyes are kind of similar, but that's about it.

The Powerpuff girls remind me more about the CMC rather than the Power Ponies.

 

Apple Bloom is similar to Blossom

Sweetie Belle is similar to Bubbles.

Scootaloo is similar to Buttercup.

Frankly, the only thing similar between the power ponies and Power Puff Girls is that they're superheroes. Other than that, they hold many differences in design and intention for the respective groups.

How? When has Applebloom displayed any real sense of intelligence or leadership. Alright she may be the leader but she just doesn't have the confidence that Blossom did. And I don't get how Sweetie Belle has anything in common with Blossom. Unless you mean Bubbles which even then I don't think they're like each other. Is Sweetie particularly cutesy? Is she the most child like? Can't say I think she is. And the only thing I think Scootaloo and Buttercup have in common is the fact they both have deep voices.

Nah, the Powerpuff Girls are more like the Cutie Mark Crusaders. Especially Apple Bloom, she's totally like Blossom with the bow and leadership skills and everything.
