TheAnimatorOfficial 567 April 22, 2016 Share April 22, 2016 So a tweet I read said that if Discovery Family's marketing and ratings still tank, Hasbro will end their contract (currently through 2021) and move their shows to Netflix. cmarston1 5,960 April 22, 2016 Share April 22, 2016 I highly doubt that MLP is going to move to Netlix. Unless Hasbro decides to pull a Nickelodeon and pull the show out of the air in the middle of the season, and then release the episodes online exclusive, it isn't happening. The ratings for the show can be poor, but as long as MLP FIM sells a lot of toys, then I am pretty sure it is still going to air on television.

NeonCobalt 256 April 22, 2016 Share April 22, 2016 I mean why NOT move MLP to Cartoon Network Two words: Transformers. Animated. Cartoon Network royally screwed that show over, and I imagine Hasbro doesn't want to repeat the mistake. 1 Credit to @Kyoshi for the signature! The Coffee Pony 1,390 April 23, 2016 Share April 23, 2016 Two words: Transformers. Animated. Cartoon Network royally screwed that show over, and I imagine Hasbro doesn't want to repeat the mistake. Believe me they already have with Transformers Robots in Disguise 2015! It arguably got screwed over even worse than Animated did. This show that was supposed to be three 26 episode seasons long got shortened to two seasons after the first one finished and the second season is going to be 19 episodes with a movie. Not only that CN kept in the 5AM Death Slot. Needless to say, as a Transformers fan, I'm VERY ticked off. I was ticked off when it was announced the show would be on CN because they'd pull some BS like this! I kept saying they'd screw it over and I was right. I would NOT want MLP anywhere near that network! By all means I'd rather Hasbro have it on Netflix than any of the networks associated with animation! The Coffee Pony 1,390 April 23, 2016 Share April 23, 2016 (edited) I mean why NOT move MLP to Cartoon Network and YTV instead of Treehouse and Discovery Family? Because Netflix is the best option. Asking "What TV network should Hasbro move FiM to?" is basically asking "How should Hasbro kill FiM?" A) Cartoon Network (Screw over the show in various agonizing ways) B ) Nickelodeon (Draconian Copyright and little airtime so the network can focus on its favorites instead) C) Disney XD (Disney Ownership, Cancellation and Inferior Replacement) Edited April 23, 2016 by The Coffee Pony

PinkiePie97 913 April 23, 2016 Share April 23, 2016 If MLP were to move, I hope it's not to Nick because they don't even treat their own shows that aren't Spongebob that well. And after seeing how Cartoon Network handled Robots in Disguise, I hope it doesn't move there either. I don't pay much attention to Disney's acquisitions, so I don't know how those get treated, but I don't think it's as bad. Not sure how I'd feel about MLP moving there. I have Netflix so it wouldn't be an issue for me if MLP were to move there but it would still suck for those that don't have it. Mesme Rize 15,687 April 23, 2016 Share April 23, 2016 Let's all be perfectly honest here. The days of TV, is slowly coming to and end. More and more people every year, get there entertainment through the internet and streaming services like Netflix. If you want my honest opinion, all studios should sooner rather then later prepare, to move to those streaming devices, because TV dosen't pull like it used to do. 4 My OC Mesme Rize: >https://mlpforums.com/page/roleplay-characters/_/mesme-rize-r8777 Thank you Randimaxis for this Wonderful Avatar.
