I personally define my guilty pleasures as movies and TV that aren't particularly good, but have some sort of charm or quirkiness to them where I can't help but enjoy watching them from time to time.

One movie that came to mind was Don Bluth's early 90s animation Rock-a-Doodle. It was silly, it was cheesy. It had a glaringly obvious plot hole and a bad child actor in the lead with a speech impediment that qualifies as more annoying than endearing. But yet, I'd watch it again if given the chance because there's just some kind of quirky charm to the characters. Just as much, the visuals in this film are amazing.

There are two CBS sitcoms that apply to this for me as well, despite how terrible they actually are. Still Standing was one from the mid-2000s, and boy did it really suck. The main cast is laden with stereotypes, including the centerpiece Bumbling Dad, and the show frequently made sexist slights at men, women, boys, and girls. But yet, I still watch it anyway because of the absurdity of some of the premises. I think the father character fancies himself as a George Costanza but barely reaches even Doug Heffernan's level.

Another CBS sitcom I'd list is 2 Broke Girls. Like Still Standing, this show is also loaded with stereotypes, mostly racial ones, and just barely skates by on its one-note main gag; Kat Dennings' character making bitingly snarky slights at the highly caricatured general populace that frequents the restaurant she works at. Yet, I occasionally watch it and even drew one piece of fanart of it. To be honest, I have no idea why I watch it. Maybe it's to see if one of Dennings' snarks actually hits bullseye.

I'd also qualify a lot of Christmas specials here. Specifically the Rankin-Bass ones, which I honestly find cheesy and dated now. I still have a lot of respect for them, given that they set the tone for many others to follow. However, I mainly find myself riffing on them every time I watch them, and I often feel as if I'm the only one that does that since seemingly everyone else holds them in an untouchable high nostalgia status. To a lot of people, it would be like making fun of Sesame Street. To be honest, I don't care.

I'd like to see what works you guys would list as guilty pleasures.

Rocket Power is a big one for me. It used to be one of my favorite shows as a kid, but this thing has not aged well at all, it reeks of 90's edgy EXTREEEEEME! Yet I can't help but enjoy it, it's definitely the nostalgia talking

For movies, I'm going with Batman & Robin. It's not objectively good. The characters are one-dimensional, toyetic beings with way too many terrible puns, broken logic, and how it tried (and failed) to take itself seriously within all that camp. When comparing it with the other three movies in that canon, it's the worst. But it's a personal favorite of mine, and I still find it to be a lot of fun to watch and dissect MST3K-style. XD

For TV shows, I'll go with the Fox Kids edit of Escaflowne. It didn't go very far, only airing ten episodes before Fox pulled the plug. Looking back at it, some parts felt really off, from the voice acting of one of the villains (he sounded like a little boy when he looked more like a teen) to some of the censoring. But it was a favorite of mine when it was on, and I still hold some nostalgia to this day, especially the intro.

Zombieland

I'm not your typical zombie movie fanatic but this thing is done with a humorous flair that gives it a dimension others don't have. Still ridiculous but in a good way.

Kick Ass.

Absolute trash, I'll admit it. But it's fun trash that always has me laughing whether I intend to or not. And highly re-watchable.

Xanadu.

Possibly the most absurd of them all. This defines niche viewing. I'm not often in the right mood for this one but when I am, there's no other movie that will do what it can. Some of the songs are decent, and I like Olivia Newton John, but those are really the only virtues I can justifiably mention here.

These three have a place of dubious honor among my dvd collection. I just hide them away when people come to visit.

Although it's not exactly the best Marvel cartoon, Avengers Assemble is something I enjoy watching. The animation isn't anything special, the writing is often bland and predictable, yet I still like it for some reason. :P

I also like Police Academy 3.

I can't help but love Jack and Jill. A lot of people would consider it ultra cringy watching Adam Sandler take on two roles: one male and one FEMALE. However, I think it's pretty impressive how Sandler could manage to act like two completely different people. I can also relate to the movie, since it's about a woman who makes an embarrassment out of his twin brother, and that happens with MY younger brother too. XD

Meet the Spartans was also horrible but hilarious in my opinion. It's a parody of 300. Except you got dark humour, sex jokes etc. But at least it had some sort of humour that entertained me more than the original.

I enjoy Bakugan Battle Brawlers, and I feel guilty of it because that show was intended for seven year old boys. MLP was intended for four year old girls, but I'm not guilty of it because it has a huge adult fanbase, and Bakugan isn't that popular at all, so I feel alone in my interest and weird in a bad way.

Ohh. I forgot High School Musical 1 and 3 (didn't really like the second movie) :P It just reminds me of being younger. I'm with Doug Walker:

I get why it pisses people off but like Doug says, it's unbelievably goofy and cheesy but it knows it's goofy and cheesy. It's fun to watch if you don't take it seriously.

The Room, Troll 2, Birdemic, Sharknado, Jurassic Shark, terrible Video Brinquedo "movies", El Arca, Alpha & Omega, and many more so bad it's good movies. Love them.

As for anime, Love Hina, Mew Mew Power and Zero no Tsukaima, though absolutely cheesy, I love them~

The Pokemon anime. It's so repetitive and so cheesy with the most flat characters ever, but it's my nostalgia that latches onto it.

The Super Mario Brothers Super Show: Choppy animation, cheesy live action segments, terrible voice acting, but it's so bad on all these things it's hilarious.

That was such a weird show :') I haven't seen it properly but I watched the Nostalgia Critic do a review. Isn't that she show with a man without a face? :')
