Well, now I feel conflicted. I JUST got back to level 55 and now the Peacekeeper, after one game, has already given a good enough impression that I want to prestige for a 5th time so I can get the 10th C-a-C slot for it. Problem is, I don't wanna prestige again . I'll test it out some more to judge whether I wanna prestige for it or not.

Yeah I know it is really annoying to lose all your stuff and start over on level 1 with all weapons again. I have stopped at prestige 4 on all cod games except bo2 where I am going for prestige master.

Yeah, it really is annoying. I'm surprised that I'm 7th prestige, pretty much goal is to get to prestige master. But I'm getting easy bloodthirsty medals with the Peacekeeper.

I personally find it so-so.

 

Die Rise - finally a maze-like and fun zombie map, it is no Verrukt but still, it's maze-like odd design makes it fun

hydro & Grind - interesting maps but okay

Downhill straight up sucks

Mrage is a great map for domination, I am having some fun games there than most other maps for domination. 

The new zombie mode is fun though it is hard to make it pass gun 3 lol, makes it fair though

The new SMG is balanced in all honesty minus it's laser gun recoil.

The new DLC maps are pretty decent except Downhill. Mostly, just camping in the spawn and other issues. But I got Black Ops II for Xbox now, so I'll have to start from the beginning. But overall, the DLC is good.

Downhill straight up sucks

HOW CAN YOU SAY THAT?! Downhill is the best map in the dlc, it's the perfect map for my stealthy playstyle in ffa. I just run around with silencer and I get those campers in the houses every single time, I got a Lodestar the first time I played it.

 

So I love Downhill. But well, I haven't played it in tdm.

 

Mirage - This map is also okay. It's better than Hydro but not as good as Downhill.

 

Grind - Ew. I hate this map. It's so.. I don't know. I just don't like it.

I know but, Downhill has the nice snow too. But the thing is, I played Domination on Downhill and all the enemy team did was camp & snipe in their spawn. That's why I hate it.

The new DLC isn't too bad map wise, what I really like is the peacekeeper, it's like a hybrid between an AR and SMG, the DLC only just came out on PC but I already have the peacekeeper in diamond :3

 

Side notes: I hit prestige master a while back, and a few days ago I hit the top 10k on leader boards (based on career - all time) for those of you wondering, that's out of just over 1.3million players, I spend way too much time on this game :/

Love the DLC. Except I do decent on every map but Grind.

 

One of the things I found interesting was the Peacekeeper. I like it a lot more than any other gun right now.

After playing the new DLC, I can honestly say I'm glad I got it. Grind and Mirage are good in mah book (Mirage is actually mah most favorite map in the game, although that opinion could change). Downhill is cool and all sometimes as well. As for Hydro.......ew.

 

Die Rise is also fun, although trying to find the Sliquifier parts can get a bit confusing at time. Turned? I don't like it. I tried out the Peacekeeper, and I like it, but now probably not to the point that I would prestige for it.

If you've been bored with the game, new maps are probably not going to make you more interested. But that's just what I think. The Turned zombie game mode is boring. The Die Rise zombie map is kinda fun to play too. 

 

I would play with you but right now it's 2:20 am.. so I can't today.

3 players starts as zombies and one as human. The human gets a gun and the zombies run around. If a zombie catches the human they become human and the human becomes zombie.

 

The guy in this video says the game mode is fun, but I disagree. To me it is boring after a while of playing it.

That looks absolutely chaotic. Like, more than what is truly needed. I don't think I would really enjoy the game type.

 

I might just buy the DLC anyway, due to the fact that I am not truly BORED of CoD, but just that I never have anyone to play with.

Yeah, I got Black Ops II on Xbox now. I just hope I can get back the same adrenaline that I have on PS3, and transfer it to Xbox. So I am pretty much up for playing with you guys.

I'm completely done with the multiplayer and I'm never going to touch it ever again. I'll cut off my hands if I dare to play it one more time.

 

Okay, so reason for this is because the whole game is, compared to other arcade shooters, flawed. So let's get down to why I think it is so flawed.

 

Starting with the guns. It's great and lovely that they have finally upped the secondaries, the pistols were really bad so it's good that they have gotten an increase in weapon damage... were it not for the KAP which is just another SMG with a smaller clip, not to mention it is easier to handle a pistol because of it's small size and relatively visible iron sights.

 

The other guns are great, they're all pretty much scaled... until you put on a laser sight, seriously, level 3 Smigs already get a laser sight and this is really bad, the accuracy is increased with 80% and completely nullifies the factor of ADS, which actually lose more often against laser sights, no matter the distance, more on that later.

 

Next, the perks, oh my god what have they done, while MW2 was still do-able BO2 has gone and completely nullified and crushed the idea of perks. I remember in CoD4 perks didn't give you the ability to climb faster or ADS more quickly, everyone was on par with eachother in terms of abilities, sure, there was a perk that made you run a little bit longer but that's about it, when it came to gun fights, it was all about skill and perhaps a little bit of luck. But now, oh no, hell no, god forbid if you choose the wrong perks. The Climb faster and faster ADS perk is a must. You also got to have the sprint longer, flakjacket or nullify stuns, flashes etc. perk or your character just doesn't have the same advantages as the others, which in addition to the laser sight, will get you almost always killed. Just close your eyes and spray! That's what it's all about.

 

Okay, the maps, and this is where smigs are a total pain. The maps are all TOO SMALL, I know I know, fast-paced gameplay blablabla all that BS. But the maps shouldn't suffer from this! There is almost not a single spot that hasn't 3 flankable sides. No larger open areas, which is a kick in the nuts for the sniper (AKA me), Might as well get a smig with laser sight and ADS in Drone or Yemen on one side and wait until the sniper comes by and kill him with through BS magic. The maps are so small that smigs will always dominate, even turbine, the largest map, is still mostly close quarters. And the sniping spots in ALL maps aren't sniper exclusive, because all the spots that are suited for snipers are also suited for everyone, that means it'll get crowded really soon and everyone can hit you from every single side. Not to yet again mention the fact that you can get flanked from everyside at any moment due to the spawn system.

 

Next, the spawn system, good grief the spawn system, it's like Black ops and Halo 4 had a miscarriage. I get to spawn behind the enemies the whole time and they get to spawn behind me the next. Seriously, having already  a huge lack no sniper spots AND having the enemy spawn behind me is a complete nightmare, there's not a single moment I can stand still for a second,"scout" (You know, since the areas are so small already I could've just walked there in a second) an area and not be killed by an enemy that happened to spawn behind me, nevermind the fact that I just spawned there myself!

 

And don't get me started with the LC, seriously, this godforsaken piece of programming couldn't go any worse, hell, it even gets to the point where hit boxes change entirely, back in the day when we only had UT, Quake, MOHAA and CoD 1-2 that would be outrageous and they would actually FIX it. Nowadays, 4 months later, nothing, not a single fix, not a single change. 

 

And the worst part, not a single game have I ever enjoyed, not the ones where I went 25-6, not the ones where I went 15-12 and especially not the ones where I went 0-18. I have tried numerous of playing styles already and yet none of them worked. And this is something I see in every game. Being someone who played FPS's my whole life I can see the difference between good people and bad people, good people can go on and on, getting huge scores up until the point where someone would go apeshit and get 40 kills in UT without dying a single time, killing complete teams in CS 1.6, being a one man army in BF. But here, in BOII I have yet to find a 1 of them, up until now, whenever I wasn't first place, the ones who were only had 16 to 18 kills with either more deaths or 1 - 3 deaths away from their kills, that's not good, going 18 - 16 isn't worth a gg, going 18 - 4 is a gg.

 

I'm done with this game,  every single match is nothing but frustration, I'm going back to other games where  accuracy and experience actually means something. I am happy for those who can find enjoyment out of the multiplayer and I wish them the best of luck on their future endeavours.

I can't agree or disagree with that, since this is literally my first time in multiplayer. Although being new I can tell you the maps are small and spawn points are terrible.

Well taking it from the PC and PS3 side, yes it is. For Xbox no. Downhill I feel they wanted to get something going but it is just too maze-like. Most people don't even use the sides and just make it hell in the middle so it may just be bad apples rolling off of me but if there is a map that somehow makes almost every player just cluster**** in the middle, eeeeeeeh you may want to rethink design.

no way it's, that is just how I want it! I always run in the edges of the map. Now I can just run there without anyone in my way and kill the people I see in the middle parts of the map. Fantastic map! <3

Meh, I can't see it but whatever, different people, different taste. I will give Downhill the upside of being a snow map, brings back fond memories of Summit in Black Ops, oh the amount of building campers you could just shoot a noob tube/RPG up in there and get a kill off of. : )
