gaming Mario Kart Pet Peeves

i love playing mario kart a lot. but there are many pet peeves ive encountered

 

mines would be a damn assault of red shells. followed by many characters' annoying screeches. whats yours?

The Spiny Shell. No matter how much times and confident I am of winning when in first place, I worry about someone trying to mess me up every time with it.

Are you talking about the Mario Kart 8? I havent played it, but Ive heard there are WAY too many unnecessary characters (e.g. Pink Gold Peach) and im not exactly sure what does a piranha plant do to hinder the player?

 

if i were you. id rather have dry bones. koopa troopa. or bowser jr. in MK8 instead

Pink Gold Peach. Wow. Mainly, Birdo is missing and I don't know why. But the Piranha Plant was a driver in Double Dash.

When I'm in first place, about to finish the race, then a blue shell comes. I end up getting in, like, seventh. In Mario Kart DS, 7, and Wii, I can, if I try hard enough, charge a turbo boost the second the blue shell is about to hit me and then quickly hop again, but it's very hard to pull off.

Item wise, those accursed Bloopers. They seem harmless, but they always throw me off course. In fact, I dislike all items you have no real hope of defending yourself from.

 

Player wise, when someone throws all their weapons backward, immediately before crossing the finish line, even though they already secured their position. Why make life difficult for those of us still competing?

Getting hit by a bunch of items or a blue shell, thus sending me from first to a much worse place. I also hate having led an entire race and then I get hit by an item or many items, which causes me to lose first place.

1. Blue Shell: Can't even enjoy 1st properly, and can't actually benefit unless you're in 2nd or something anyway... and even then, the newer explosion effect can still be a double-edged sword. Just a disadvantage all around -- enough said.

 

2. Coins as an Item: What's the point when you already have plenty of these things scattered around all the tracks? Just a complete and unhelpful waste of an Item slot.
