Untitled Goose Q 5,138 October 30, 2016 Share October 30, 2016 Why? What does anyone have to gain by FORCING someone else to watch anything? What possible rational reason could there be? 2 On 4/22/2016 at 6:16 PM, The Nightly Spectre said: One does not ask why The Questioner is awesome. Kyoshi Frost Wolf 41,997 October 30, 2016 Share October 30, 2016 This is stupid to do regardless of the show. If someone doesn't have an interest in a show or hasn't seen it, let them make their own decisions. Let them discover the show in their own time, if they decide to do so. Forcing any show down someone's throat could very well give them a negative opinion very quickly.
Guest October 30, 2016 Share October 30, 2016 Never. Constant forcing or begging to watch the show would just make them dislike the idea of it even before they watched any episodes. It's entirely up to them if they want to watch it or not and if their decision is not to, it isn't anything to worry about either.
Crypty Scribbles 5,703 October 30, 2016 Share October 30, 2016 Nope. If someone doesn't like MLP he/she will not get the idea even if will watch all the episodes.
cmarston1 5,962 October 30, 2016 Share October 30, 2016 No. Because if someone doesn't like the show or doesn't want to watch it, you should respect their viewpoint and not force them into doing so.
SolarComet 26 October 30, 2016 Share October 30, 2016 All you really have to do is give someone the idea of watching MLP. There's no need to force that person to watch it. Tropical Melody 6,896 October 30, 2016 Share October 30, 2016 (edited) Sadly just cos you think something is brilliant is no guarantee someone else will. Think I see where you're coming from tho, like if it's your best mate, and you want them to like it too, just as you do. You could suggest it, but that's all. "Force", as in, what tie them to a chair and tape their eyelids open? I remember a friend inviting me to his house and sit me down to play me the latest Dire Straits album cos he was convinced I should like it, because I like Jethro Tull, and it was quite Tull-ish. Sad to say no, I was totally unmoved! PonyMage 228 October 30, 2016 Share October 30, 2016 Definitely not. I'm cautious about even suggesting someone try out something I like and they don't know about, so I'd never have the guts to do this. This isn't pretty but it's what I am tonight. Concerned Bystander 2,904 October 30, 2016 Share October 30, 2016 Hey, it's just a QUESTION. I would never force somebody to watch it ok. When you ALL gonna hurt just because my questions are to bad for you. So be it. I apologise if I've caused offence, it was only a joke. To answer your question in a less contentious way, I may recommend a TV programme to a person, but if they showed no interest in watching it then I wouldn't press the issue. People have to make up their own mind about these things, and harassing someone to watch something would the surest way to make them hate it.
GrimGrimoire 4,973 October 30, 2016 Share October 30, 2016 Sure why not? Everyone knows the best way to make people like something is to keep cramming something onto them until they beg for mercy. ChB 18,565 October 30, 2016 Share October 30, 2016 Just your opinions please. Oh yeah, I tried that and it worked! But seriously, I would never do that, and nopony should. One of the most common complaints from Non-Bronies is that Bronies shove MLP down their throats, or won't shut up about it. If they are not interested, we should respect that. 2 Thanks to @Sparklefan1234 for this awesome sig!

Ziggy + Angel + Rain 11,303 November 1, 2016 Share November 1, 2016 Everyone knows that the best way to get someone to watch a television series is to threaten them repeatedly with unpleasant-looking blunt objects and / or blackmail them with some embarrassing information you've had on them since middle school. Luminance 2,187 November 3, 2016 Share November 3, 2016 No I wouldn't. I wasn't force to watch MLP by anybody and that goes the same for someone else too. I let my initial standings and views open without being pressured so that I can enjoy the show truly without the approval of someone else. If you feel like showing someone MLP, don't make it seem like it the end of the world if they don't accept it because it's their reception and not yours.
