Meh,I'd like to see a Lyra Heartstrings and Bon-Bon episode more but it would be nice to see this show address a topic like this but I don't think they'll do it because even though this show has a fan-base that is not within the original age target,it is still a kid's show.

Well, not about a drinking parent, but it depends on how well the episode is made. I'm not extremely fond of background ponies being main parts in an episode, because I'm scared that I won't like it.

Oh....being one of my three fav background ponies (along with Colgate and Lyra), as much as I would love love LOVE a BP episode, any kind of ep about a background pony doesn't sound like it would work out.

 

I don't think background characters in cartoons really deserve episodes until, maybe 3, 4 seasons in, when, IMO, it can trurly be determined.

 

EDIT: Just wondering, why do people relate alchohol addiction with her? O.o

Coz you know, I don't think they are very likely to show her drinking alcohol. Don't forget that this is My Little Pony we're talking about. Unfortunately, they're pretty restricted on what kind of themes they can deal with in episodes. And I don't think that alcoholism is one of them...

Hmm...Maybe. but I don't think she wont be drinking alcohol but if there was such a thing, the creators should create a My Little Pony Friendship Is Magic spinoff show about the other ponies.

I can see why you would think that would cause controversy unlike what happened with Derpy. Derpy's known for being accident prone which is seen in almost every cartoon. (Still don't see the problem there).

 

Ditzy + Speaking Part = Soccer Mom Uproar

 

Alcohol + Speaking Part = Possible Nuclear Strike
