Realistic Virtual Grand Piano (and MORE!)

Hey everyone, I'm back again to hawk my virtual instruments!

 

Seriously though, as someone who really found his passion for writing music through the Brony community, I want to give back. I have a number of free virtual instruments on my site that run through Plogue's free SFZ plugin.

 

My newest instrument is a grand piano, that I recorded in a church, and next up is a synth that will be based on a Casiotone keyboard.

I make these virtual instruments for myself, since I can't afford the big name libraries, so I hope my fellow budget musicians/composers find them useful as well!

Very nice. For some reason, some of notes, specifically around C4 and that range sound a little MIDI-ish...might just be me.

There will always been a hint in inauthenticity with any virtual piano, but you can help minimize it by using a weighted MIDI keyboard, feeling out the behavior of the piano, and/or making tweaks to the MIDI sequence data after you record something.

Actually...Whenever I use the loudest dynamic in Finale 2014 using Garritan on the Steinway, it stays natural...but if I try this...I may end up working it to rid of the MIDI-ish sounding tones.

Yeah, when using notation software as your playback device, you have to find creative and roundabout ways to get the sound you want.
