Has your enthusiasm for the show waned?

It has not! ;) Though it could really easily depending on what stories we're going to expect in the future, and which characters that are going to appear, and what they'll do.

I feel like the show is more enjoyable this season than last, but my enthusiasm is still not anywhere near where it was back in the early years of the show.

I'm still looking forward to upcoming episodes. But really, my enthusiasm for mlp is slowly dying down.

I continue to remain strongly devoted to the series but I won't deny that Equestria Girls has a bigger place in my heart than the show does. Still, I'm enjoying the current season despite a few hiccups here and there--no season is perfect after all--and eagerly await to see what else it will bring. I'm also hoping for certain characters to have human versions of themselves appear in EQG just to see what it would be like.

Sorta. I still like the newer episodes for the most part, but for the most part, I don't think the show is as good as it used to be. The Powerpuff Girls has replaced MLP as my biggest interest, and there are quite a few other shows I'm more into nowadays. That being said, I'm still excited for the movie, though I'm not sure that counts here since this is about the show.

No. Because I don't treat the show like the be all end all. It is just a nice way to pass 30 minutes of a day among other things I enjoy. Currently it is still a lot of fun and I think it is a great waste of time. Currently this season, the episodes have been really good, and I cannot really complain unless i just want to nitpick for sake of doing it.

it doesn't have to be the"be all end all" for enthusiasm for it to have waned from when you first got into it.

No, you're right, it doesn't. Everyone has their own reasons for feeling whatever it is they feel. My personal take is that I have no deep investment in it as many here do, and as such many of the changes that are taking place, or at least appearing to take place.. do not affect me in the same way it perhaps affects others.

I still love the show and the fandom, but i dont want it to be one-sided relationship, i want the show love me back, thats easy, just make good episodes for me.

My enthusiasm for the show has decline a little bit but that normal, it happened in many marriaged couples, they get mad in love, they married and sometime they tired of each others and sometime they divorced.

Love is more unreliable than a bank note anyway.

oh shit, i am off topic...

Yes, it has pretty much completely, like 99%, I didn't watch s7, and I already changed my avatar here to a non pony avatar. It's not like that the show is bad, it's really cool, but I kinda grew out of it, I guess. But I still kinda don't wanna leave this forum here, because the community here is kinda cool ^-^ I'am on this forum for already over a year, and it might sound weird, but it helped me a lot in improving my social skills by talking with people here.

But to end this on a positive note, being in that fandom definitly had a positive influence on my, it just made me more tolerant and accepting <3

My enthusiasm seemed to wane a bit because of the last two seasons, especially with what happened in To Where and Back Again, but with how many characters like the Royal Family are finally getting some development in Season 7, my enthusiasm for the show has been renewed for the time being.

There has always been a couple of things they would have to do to kill my love for the show completely but currently my enthusiasm is still fairly strong, despite osme leaked synopsis that I am not overly fond of. Even still, if they make more episodes like Parental Gildeance, my enthusiasm will stay high.

I'm sure I lost some interest in the show due to season 6 but compared last season to this current season, it's rekindled a bit. I been focused and building up anticipation for the Movie(everpony is now) and extremely anxious to see what's ultimately in store.

My interest in the show has stayed pretty level since S1. I'm always curious to see where they take things. I used to be more into fanon and fanfics than I am now, though.

This is an interesting question because I can't describe how I feel about the show in the current state. Sure, S1 and S2 were the best in my opinion, S3 was an ok season, S4 is actually where it started to go downfall until the second half of the S5, then brought back the awesomeness in the s6 and now it's okay, we'll see what's going to happen in the next half of the S7. I'd rather if I hadn't seen the description of the upcoming episodes in the first half of the season 7.

And also, I don't like Starlight Glimmer.

My conclusion is that I still love the show but not as before. I don't know if it is because my brain has matured or it just isn't amusing as before, I have yet to figure it out.

My enthusiasm for this show... varies. Obviously I'm not as excited for this show as I was back in season 3 when I had just discovered it, but right now I'm starting to lose excitement for it simply because I've not enjoyed season 7 much at all. In the past, my enthusiasm moved pretty consistently downward since the season 3 finale and the overall weakness of seasons 4 and 5, but season 6 did a lot to reinvigorate my interest. Hopefully, later episodes in season 7 can regain it once again.

mine has, only partially, because of a certain op pony who keeps reverting back to her old self, to a massive extent. That, and it feels like there's been too many real life elements creeping into the show that I only wanted to turn to for escapism from all the real world mess. There's no real "omgI'mgonnadieifIdon'tseeitNOW!" hype for new seasons or weekly episodes. But other than that, I still enjoy ponies, make pony oc's, buy merchandise, and try to catch the show every Saturday. (though it feels more like habit, with the enthusiasm lessened)

what about you guys? Has your enthusiasm waned any, from when you first started watching MLP?

Expand

Yes, greatly. I'm still hopeful for the Movie, but the show is pretty much got zero interest for me right now. It seems to be spinning in place as a "filler" right now, unlike how it felt in S2 or S4, or even S5.

Mine goes up and down at random, right now it's at a pretty high point if you asked 2 years ago id say it was at a pretty low point. A lot of it seems tied to if I have a community of friends who I truly appreciate to enjoy the show with... honestly that seems to apply to all shows for me. It's just a lot more fun being able to watch something with people you like and are into the same thing than watching something alone.
