Since Family is the s7 theme,what's the liklihood that we'll see these?

I know many people have been wanting to get to Zecora's family for sometime now. I really want to see the same. Also- Tirek's family (though explored in the IDW FIENDship is Magic comics), give no info on where their kingdom is, or how a Centaur and a Gargoyle could be compatible in consummating and siring children. Undoubtedly, though, Tirek's brother, Scorpan, by default, will inherit the throne from his father, given the incidents in "Twilight's Kingdom" (and him being confined to Tartarus for Luna knows how long). Another family that needs exploring in an episode is AJ's Aunt and Uncle Orange, and Sunset Shimmer's own family (they don't have to mention her by name, but pictures in the background could clue us in). There's the possibility of Luna and Sunbutt's parents, which has also been desired for a long time. Last but not least, Spike's family- another long awaited/ demanded one, should get focus.

Of those, the ones i would be interested in most would be Zecora and Celestia & Luna, The rest not so much. I don't really care about where Tirek came from, they showed it in the comics and I am fine with that. Although I would be interested for the lore and visiting the kingdom, so i would not be against it if we got to learn more about that part. I don't watch EQG so have no investment in SS, and really don't care about Aunt and Uncle Orange. I think their name was more of a verbal gag that was not thought out anyway. And finally I am one of the few that honestly kind of hopes they leave Spikes parents alone, because I don't see how they could reasonably  explore it and do it justice in the span of a 23 minute episode. Maybe if they did it in a season finale or something along with a much larger plot or something... but to try to rush into it, and then just go through the motions and drop it like a hot potato afterwards would leave me feeling disgusted and i imagine would actually piss off more Spike fans than please them. You have to remember it would be one of the more complicated stories to logically tell in a very short time frame.

Of them all though, amazingly I think only Spike and Tirek has a chance at ever seeing such a thing happen in some form or another though.

When it comes to Tirek I like to stick with his original generation 1 story where he is actually a demon that resembles a centaur and Scorpan is not his brother, but a human prince that was transformed when Tirek took over his kingdom got information about what Tirek is on my little wiki great site for past generations.

With that out of the way I would like to see Zecora's family zebras are rare to see in the show and nothing is really mentioned about them, but I would also like to see Derpy's family they showed that she had an accident in one episode, but never showed her parents I know she is a background pony, but would like to see her parents or even maybe Scootaloo's family she has parents they just work a lot so would be interesting to see them especially since Sweetie belle's parents have been shown and Applebloom's parents will be shown soon so why not show Scootaloo's as well.

I got the feeling Spike's family story might have something to do with Scorpan! Spike and Scorpan were close back in G1 and he gave Spike to the ponies, it could happen again here! Spike's egg was given to Celestia by Scorpan after Spike was abandoned by his family (accidentally I'm sure), and Scorpan and Ember might help him find his family!

Zecora's family is possible!

Sunset's family, probably unlikely. I'm sorry. But I have been wrong before!

For Zecora's family to be an option, they would first need to have Zecora make more appearances and introduce other zebras first before going that route. Sunset's family actually was mentioned by Sunset herself during the Holiday 2014 special--I know how people feel about this issue in general though I enjoyed it--in which she told Applejack that she was never close to her family. In that sense, Sunset might not think much about her family due to her stance about them. Tirek's family has already been explored though it could have been expanded on a little further so as to give us an idea of where they are and what they've been doing since.

Celestia and Luna's family... first, we need more insight into their own pasts before that topic can be covered.

We're supposed to see Rainbow Dash's family this season aren't we? That'll be cool to see for sure.

I'd like to see Scootlaloo's home life myself, I've seen plenty of fan art poking at the idea that she's homeless (usually comedically, not so much sad). It would help flesh out her character more I think.

Definitely more of the Pies, specifically Limestone Pie. I wonder if they'll ever give Marble a voice?

This may be extreme, but I think everyone is dying to know Celestia and Luna's parents/family. That would be some deep lore stuff.

I think Spike has had really great development the past few seasons, especially last season with Princess Ember. It would be terrific if he desired to seek out his parents.

Technically, Marble Pie already has a voice: Ingrid Nilson. Her "Mmhm-hmm's" had to come from someone.

Hmm... In the defictionialized version of the Journal of the Royal Sisters written on their behalf by Amy Keating Rogers (while technically should be considered non-canon to the show's lore, has an alterative backstory that intrigues me), The sisters mentioned being born as Alicorns from a far-away land long before Equestria was founded! Unlikely to become canon, but it's a nice backstory to expand upon nonetheless.

As for Spike's Dragon parents, I've been developing a interesting backstory for them. Seriously doubt what I have in mind will turn out to be the truth, though!

We know that Prince Blueblood is distantly related to Celestia and Luna, and Princess Cadance is Celestia's adopted daughter. But other than that, we know absolutely nothing about any living or deceased relatives of the two sisters and it gets on my nerves!

I think we'll eventually see the Spike's egg origin. I personally hope we also see Zecora's history, and it would make sense for it to involve a family member of hers. 

The rest I have no real interest in. As something not mentioned in the OP, I would really like to see Sunburst's folks. There is a great story there if they want to pursue it.

What about Starlight's family? I  wonder if they ever found out about the cult leader of sorts that their daughter became. And if they did know, how would they react to seeing her reformed? All we know about Starlight's youth is her friendship with Sunburst. Nothing about any family interaction.

Not sure about King Leo. With the seaponies on the way in the upcoming movie, things could potentially change.

As for Lauren Faust's comments, technically what she says may not be 100% canon anymore due to her lack of actual involvement with the show in the past few years. Ultimately, Hasbro will have its way. I seem to remember the scrapped movie villain Cosmos being described as their older brother in the Sony leaks. Obviously I'm not implying that he's canon, I'm just saying that the words of Faust may not always be the "word of God" anymore when it comes to stuff after she left.

I would like to see Starlight's parents and backstory, the only backstory we got was that she was friends with Sunburst and we never saw how she ended up with him or how she lived at the time. I would also like to see what AJ's parents looked like and what happened to them.

Thats a really cool theory, assuming Cosmos or a similar lost sibling does exist somewhere beyond Equestria. Technically Blueblood's exact relationship with the two sisters was never discussed when he appeared, so making him a nephew is possible. Having him be a prince and a prestigious member of the royal family doesn't make a whole lot of sense if he's only distantly related to the princesses.

Yeah, "removed" refers to the number of generations apart. So he's 52 generations from the sisters; if I understood the Faust quote right, his great-great-grandparent was the sisters' maternal cousin.

With how very little Zecora has appeared lately, I doubt we will see her family this season, or anytime soon.

I would like to see Scorpan make an appearance in the show, but I don't know if he would appear either.
