She may not be writing, but she's the Head of all girl's Entertainment, meaning it is still her job to oversee MLP as the final boss of it; Given her close ties with the show and brand, I would expect at least SOME input from her on how things should go for two parters and villains/adventure scenarios.

I think it is way too early to condemn a plot before it even makes it to screen. If the story is good and I like the episode, they can make Chysalis the Queen of Equestria for all I care. It is an early teaser with virtually nothing to say more than that. For the sake of it though, I still do not see them ever reforming her character, it just really does not fit her character I feel... but if they do, I'll reserve judgement until after I watch it and decide how I feel about it.

The whole X is automatically bad because Y happens thing does not suit me very well.

Some reformations are nice; They're like salt on your food. when Virtually every single villain gets redeemed it starts to feel overdone and like you're drowning in it. You can have friendship be important in more ways than just "Reform"-- Friendship is important too when it gives you the strength to overcome an impossibly strong foe instead, like Return of harmony.

If there is cloning, then Chrysalis could have her Mane 6 with the ability to access the same things as the Mane 6.

Of course, she could just put the Mane 6 under a curse.

I don't think any two parter is considered worse than the Crystalling by the majority, so it would be pretty upsetting if we opened with something worse than that.

To Where and Back Again is what I would call a mid tier two parter, I don't think it is as good as Twilights Kingdom, The Cutie Remark, The Cutie Map, Princess Twilight Sparkle or Return of Harmony. Though I would say it is better than Friendship is Magic and the Crystalling and is on par with The Crystal Empire and A Canterlot Wedding. Which sucks because I love Sombra and wish I could say the Crystal Empire is the best two parter.

 

I definitely would be happy with something as good as To Where and Back Again, it just wouldn't really hype me up for the rest of the season, but Celestial Advice didn't do that either and I love season 7 anyway.

Actually I know this is strange, but since Harber is back for season 8 and beyond..

What of Queen Crysalis created a group similar to the Doom Raiders to attack the Friendship school(academy). She could get those such as Changelings(who left with her when she fled) Dragons who think Friendship is cancer, Diamond dogs and anyone who hates the idea of friendship.

And for some reason I want t see Garble in this group as sorta the buttmonkey of them, seeing take orders and do embarrassing things just seems fitting.

You know, there is some speculation that this animatic is a flashback scene about how Chrysalis executed her plan in To Where and Back Again due to her reluctantly taking a picture of Starlight after taking pictures of the Mane 6 (and a few of their hairs) Disguised as a photographer. What do you guys think?
