CMC Cutie Mark Speculation

Some guy on Ponychan is claiming that toys of the CMC have been released in Australia WITH their Cutie Marks

 

Apparently Scootaloo is the first one to get hers and it's a white plus sign with a heart.

 

What do you guys think of this?

I know that sweetie's will have something to do with singing and music, scoot's will have to do with athletics and sports, and my lil si's will have something to do with graphic and fashion design. OMG, I can't wait to see the look on diamond tiara's and silver spoon's face when they finally get them.

The CMC will get their cutie marks. Maybe not in season two, but definitely in season three. Sweetie Belle is a singer, Apple Bloom is a TLC pony, and Scootaloo knows kung fu.

I hope they do get their cutiemarks, but I don't want it to be so soon. Maybe in the last season of MLP... 

 

Now we're all talking about thier cutiemarks, and what they might be. Scoot's and sweetiebell's are obvious, but Applebloom's is kind of out there. I know that she's good at carpentry or something, but she couldn't even put Fluttershy's table back together. (it could be because Scoot and SB helped, but her leadership should've kicked in there) 

 

also, during the show stoppers, they each take turns pointing out each others flaws, but AB doesn't really help SB or show any sign of talent in the design department... 

 

But whatever, her cutie mark will be made more clear in the future!

Scootaloo's would be either a chicken or a dodo and Sweetie Belle's would be a dictionary. I don't know what Apple Bloom's would be yet. Perhaps something to do with kung-fu? But none of this matters 'cause they'll never get them anyway.

I think in a latter season. Applebloom will be the last of the crusaders to get her cutie mark. There will be an episode where she is afraid that the crusaders won't be friends anymore (or at least I hope it will happen).

This seems incredibly likely to me. They've only gotten 3 real CMC episodes plus the one where the group is founded, so it would seem like a waste to have them get their marks so soon.

 

i tend to agree with most of what I'm reading: Scoot is a pro-scooter or something, and Sweetie Bell's a singer (I like the "voice is sweet as a bell" idea). Apple Bloom's the most open ended, though. She could be a carpenter (as soon as she finishes something by herself, anyway), an architect...something involving design.

I'd like to see the CMCs get their cutie marks this season, I really don't think it should be dragged out too long.

 

What I'd really like to see is just one of them getting her mark while the others are still blank flanks. This could set up a good story line about jealousy, acceptance, and what it means to belong to a small group like the CMCs. This could then provide opportunity for another story later on when the second one gets her mark, and the final one of the three is still blank. That story could explore her disappointment, jealousy and the importance of not abandoning friends even when you've achieved all your own goals.

 

EDIT: It would be a nice touch if, at the end of this storyline, the final blank-flank somehow gets her cutie mark as part of learning that particular friendship lesson.

Their whole purpose on the show revolves around not having their cutie marks, so when/if they get them, any appearance on the show would be kinda stupid, unless it was a nostalgia episode where they recalled how silly they all were to not realize they always knew their cutie marks or something.

Yeah that's what I always thought as well. If the CMC do get their cutie marks, then how else could they add to the show? I'm sure the writers could incorporate something for them, but I would think that they would become nothing more than background ponies that we actually have information about.

They still have appeal even if they have their cutie marks. Part of the reason for their inclusion is to have characters that very small children can relate to so I doubt they're going away anytime soon.

 

I also find it hilarious people talking about how the crusader don't have a purpose after they have their cutie marks considering Diamond Tiara's spiel about how ponies without cutie marks have no purpose.
