Some characters may not appear in more than one episode before the show comes to an end

Although most of us want to see characters get a second appearance on the show that have only appeared in one episode so far, trust me, it might not happen. Many shows do this as well, and so can My Little Pony.

For example, Zephyr Breeze may not return in a future episode (even though I want him to in Season 8). But outside of that, there's still other ways for hopes of a PinkieShy episode under my instincts.

Other characters include Lightning Dust and Wind Rider.

The problem is, there are just too many one shot characters in this show and there is literally no way that everyone will get more one episode. Not to mention that the writers will also be creating another batch of new characters for season 8, which will make it even more impossible.

Like hopefully, more griffons in an episode for Pinkie (NOT Rainbow) and the CMCs, exactly like how it was done in To Change a Changeling. And Pinkie can throw a party for the griffons in Griffonstone!

I wish we could see Lightning Dust again. She got what she deserved, now she has a chance to bounce back. She would make a great wingmare for Rainbow Dash if they can both move on from the past and Lightning can get a second chance with the Wonderbolts.

Not to mention the little detail of having Trevor Devall moved away, but that didn't impede having his biggest roles in FiM to return, AND reprise them, his most recent being Iron Will, and Thunderlane this last season. Still, the argument of some characters we hope to return before the show ends may hold some water, as the cast of FiM has increased as the years passed, with SEVEN IMPORTANT ONES on the list, having at least four new ones this upcoming season, and doubting the show will go past the tenth season, there may not be enough time for them to appear

Joking aside, never say never, we've had tons of unexpected characters come back, and writers always seem to love reusing characters, both fan favorites(Trixie, Maud) and characters no one wants to see again(Flim Flam Bros, Zephyr), so there's always a chance, especially if you bug the writers enough

Lightning Dust returning would most certainly involve Rainbow Dash, and according to FirePuppy, Rainbow Dash is statistically not allowed to have any more episodes ever again

My hope is Lightning Dust moves to Ponyville to take over as head of the weather team now that Dash is in the Wonderbolts.

The concept of character-of-the-week is quite common in other shows, where the character only appears in one episode. MLP has actually done well with showing previous characters again instead of forgetting them, and while it would be nice to have some show more often, there isn't a need for some.

I agree with this, if the show is still bringing back characters from season 2, it's probably only a matter of time before other characters that haven't appeared in a while do come back, You can't look at things in a negative light, you always gotta try to look at things in the good light and be optimistic about this.

There's a lot of characters whom don't matter that much to me, but there's some whom I still think have a lot of potential. The thing about Lightning Dust is that she was given enough ambiguity in her first appearance that I think she'd be ripe for an episode where she becomes a better person.

And if you'll indulge me, I'm also really hoping to see Marble and Limestone Pie again, whom could both be fleshed out a little more. Marble could really use some depth beyond just being superficially cute. On the other hand, Limestone has the depth but could use more charm. And surely an episode starring Rarity's parents is due soon. We barely saw any of them when they first appeared, and the writers seem to have developed an interest in family shenanigans.

I think the ponies voiced by special guest stars are less likely to occur which sadly means less likely to ever see Cheese Sandwich or Quibble Pants ever again.  I also doubt we will ever see Felicia Day’s pony again not just because it is Felicia Day but because of who that pony is in the storyline.   I would like to see Lightening Dust show up and be redeemed.

Iron Will appeared in S2 then he's back in S7. Gilda appeared in S1 then she's back in S5... It take more than 4 seasons. Can we get Babs and Lightning Dust in S8? It already 5 seasons since their first appearance, it perfect time to comeback, i want to see Lightning Dust reaction to Rainbow Dash current status and i want to see Babs react to CMC cutie marks business. Can the staffs hear my pray???

I couldn't care less.  I mean, I'd rather that some characters only get one episode rather than ending up like the flim flam brothers (i.e get an episode which completely ruins every thing even remotely interesting about them).
