There is unfortunately no easy way. You just have to keep moving on and try to forget about it. The best way is pretty much what you have been doing actually. Take comfort in knowing that you have people who care about you. They will help you feel better. And I wish you the best of luck next time, Swirls.

My uncle almost lost a finger because of his. It got smashed flat on his finger and he had to get a hammer to bend it back round to get it off. So I'd have one but I'd take it off while working.
