Spyro: Reignited Trilogy Coming Sept. 2018

MY CHILDHOOD RETURNS! 

Admittedly, after the success of the Crash Bandicoot: N.Sane Trilogy, this was kind of expected given that Crash and Spyro were the mascots of the PS1 back in the day. I can't remember how many times I played and beat Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage/Gateway To Glimmer and Spyro 3: Year of the Dragon.

Take a look at my Twitter feed. I've done nothing but teleport break for three straight days retweet Spyro remaster stuff all day. Spyro is the only thing I love more than the ponies, so you can imagine my hype levels. <3

Hehe, I feel like doing the same, while I sadly wasn't born during the Spyro ps1 days, I did manage to experience the Spyro games such as Dawn of the dragon, I really liked those as well. (Also feel like Cynder is a well developed character)

I adore Cynder personally; a pity that we likely won't see her unless the Legends trilogy is re-released in some fashion...but I won't count on that.

Aye, that is true, Tough a remaster of the Legends trilogy would have been a nice thing if it would ever happen, it is not something that would be as a special thing as they did with the old Spyro games into a remaster.

Considering they are turning the ps1 graphics into literal ps4 graphics, which is a massive overhaul in terms of graphics itself, while the Legends trilogy has the graphics between the ps2 and ps3 quality in terms of graphics.

(I am planning on playing the Trilogy some day again)

Funny how this is the very definition of a remake, but it's called a 'remaster'. I wish gaming companies would get these labels straight.

I've never played a Spyro game before. I never knew he had voice acting. The voice acting in this just really sticks out like a sore thumb, but again I don't have nostalgia like the rest of you. Just for my own interests, I would prefer it without voice acting. lol

The only series I ever played was Legends indeed, and I loved it. Maybe I'll get tempted to go for this one.

I'd recommend playing this once it comes out; just don't expect it to mirror the Legends stuff all that much. Totally different atmosphere, gameplay, and all that. Plus; no Cynder, though Elora is cool in her own way.

Sweet! Can't wait to get the remastered trilogy when it comes out. I used to LOVE playing the original Spyro games!

Anyone that knows me knows that I despise Activision with every fiber of my gaming soul, but this is a collection I don't think I can pass up. The Spyro games, the first two at least, were two of my favorite games in my youth. Spyro 2 in particular is my favorite. Never played the third one though, not sure why. This would be my chance! As long as this collection gets the same love that Crash got, then I will totally get it it. Still surprised to see this collection also being priced at $40. Was thinking that since the Crash collection was like wildfire in terms of success, Activision would have raised the price here, but nope. Good on you Activision, for once.

Well, this popped up on Nintendo UK's website apparently. Still, take it with a grain of salt. I don't know what it could really mean, it should have been shown in the trailer if true.

Depends on how you like a 90s 3D platformer. Personally, and I think this opinion is shared by many, I find them to be classics. All three are of great quality; though improvements are quite evident as you go from the first to the second game.

It's amazing just how much detail there is now versus the PS1 days. Just something I never would've considered when I was playing this game back in 1998.

Being someone who grew up with Spyro 2: Gateway to Glimmer, I'm actually really hyped to see this. I will happily wait for it to eventually come out on the Switch and PC, but, this does make me want to buy a PS4 so that I can experience it again on its native platform. I think it will be a lot of fun to play again.

On a side note, Spyro looks amazing with the HD graphics.
