What topics really bore you?

Politics in general. If I find myself in a place where politics are being talked about, my brain starts to play Pinkie Pie's Parasprite Polka and I sort of just zone out and walk off somewhere.

PHYSICS. I thought math was boring but at least it’s not super hard all the time (when dealing with simple equations anyways). Physics, however, feels like an excuse to do math on something unrelated to complex equations. I try so hard to pay attention to the lessons so I can learn, but it’s impossible to not zone out at least once for me.

I feel that! Adults always do that to me and sometimes people talk about every assignment they do in school.  There’s also people who complain about it all the time which makes me feel like I should too but after a while it puts me in a bad mood.

This is going to sound bad, but... racism. 

I get that it's a hot issue that should be stopped, and I'm glad that our world is getting more and more diverse, but since I have a mom and a close friend who talk about it like broken records... it gets REALLY annoying. (No offense to them both, just trying to make a point). 

I mean, not EVERYTHING has to be connected to race!

That being said, I do think some discussions on racism are important, just not the redundant, pointless ones.

Celebrities and paparazzi/tabloid nonsense. I couldn't care less about some of these famous people and what they did yesterday, what they wore, who they cheated on, who they broke up with, etc... especially the folks on modern reality TV. It all rubs me the wrong way.

In person? I would have to say family. As a young woman with no desire to have children I get bored of hearing about peoples kids. Not only that there’s nothing really for me to say in a lot of these conversations so it just gets awkward and ends fast.

Thats the top thing people wanna talk about at work. Kids. 

Despite me finding home improvement and cooking convos boring I can at least contribute to that. 

But kids? Nope. The only kids I see are my cousins kids and that’s on rare special occasions. Other than that there’s no children in my life. Ive nothing to contribute to these sorts of conversations to make them last.

•  Cars... If I hear "flywheels", "trannies" (transmissions, not transgenders... But calling them that is very impolite and hurts me personally because I used to be one), or "cylinders" one more time being a laid back topic of discussion I will go crazy I swear.
•  Celebrities. I'm so gosh danged tired of hearing about what every celebrity does in their daily lives. I. DON'T. CARE.
•  Sports. I don't care one bit about them, and they're EVERYWHERE. It would be great to have a day where American football or basketball or whatever doesn't come up in some way at some point.

I could probably go on to be honest.

Probably anything to do with mechanics, computers, and automobiles. Usually when people talk about their interest in that stuff, they'll speak about it in a way that is how they understand it, which involves lots of technical speak and fancy terminology that completely put me off track...

Technology, politics and sports are all high on my list of snore bait. I don’t understand most of it, and the stuff I do understand I don’t enjoy talking about. I was stuck sitting next to someone on a long plane ride once and had to listen to him rattle on about timeshare for hours on end. That was pretty painful too. I guess I could have turned the tables and yammered on about Barbie, Disney and Star Wars; then I could watch his face turn pale and twitchy as he writhed in his seat.
