Yes, I want it to come back. It always looks more impressive than 3D unless it’s in a game in my opinion. I’d also like 2D to not be computer dependent as well. I want it to be hand made if possible.

I definitely do as I love hand drawn animations. Unfortunately, I doubt it will ever return due to the time and expense required. Maybe it will live on in fan animations or something.

Hand drawn art is a dying/dead art in the industry. Everything is done on computers now. Years ago, Disney tried to bring it back with Princess and a Frog but it didn’t do well enough for Disney to keep investing in that media. To answer the question, yes, I do wish it would come back.

Oh, absolutely. Hand-drawn animation looks fabulous. Unfortunately, however, it is a lost art for a good reason. It's too time-consuming and expensive for keeping up with today's typical standards for how quickly an episode of a cartoon needs to be produced and animated theatrical movies are essentially required to use computer animation in order to be big hits and meet the standards of investors. However, even as it's mostly been phased out in mainstream media, it can always live on in alternative media.

Pretty much this.

Animators were working twice as hard for the same results. Digital is the future, it's just something I've already accepted. The final show to use hand-drawn animation was Ed, Edd and Eddy which switched to digital sometime late in its life.

It doesn’t matter if hand-drawn animation takes twice as long because it is worth it. CG is fine and all but the results are NOT the same, and it will never have the same qualities of hand-drawn. 2D animation is far more broad than CG and it has a look that’s far more pleasing to the eye. I would never allow any art form to completely disappear just because something else is easier or more cost effective. These matters may be important to studios trying to get a quick return on their investment, but it’s a loss to the artistic world. If the human touch is reduced or removed from art then it will inevitably lose the life that makes it so special. Seeing the hand of the artist in the work is what I love most about it. Traditional animation may be gone from the mainstream, but it does have a life in alternative media where such awesomeness matters. I salute those who keep it alive.

I'd definitely be more excited over a hand-drawn animated film or TV show than I would a CG one. The look is getting so old. At least there's still 2D animation to enjoy. But even then it lacks the sometimes messy fluid motion of the old hand-drawn stuff.

I don't really care. CG can look almost exactly the same.

It seems to me people are just scared of technology these days. Everything except technology that can be used for mindless chatter. Cell phones, texting, facebook, etc. What was called "N" technology on The Boondocks.

I like hand drawn far better than CG. It's broader and more lively, which is what animation is all about for me. If I want realism I can watch live action, but the squash and stretch of hand drawn is such a unique art form and it appeals on an aesthetic level. I think it far surpasses CG in every way.

Hand drawn is at times yes,  time killing and etc but also well,  it has a sense "mood" or a "human" touch we seem to miss.

I wish the major studios would release computer and hand-drawn animated films but that sadly seems like it will never happen again.

Hand-drawn animation is traditional animation as it has been around for a long time. While it may be used today, it wasn't developed in the modern age and therefore isn't modern. That's what I meant when I said that I prefer to see modern versions of animations.

I consider 20th and 21st century animation modern.

So badly, it was just much more entertaining and i feel like the artists really had to put in so much more thought into the animations which is what made them entertaining to begin with. A lot of thought was put behind it, sometimes you'd still catch the flaws of it too-
