So, long story short, Radiant Hope, is, like, a way overhated character. And that's a shame! She's great! I love her! So this thread is to give her the appreciation she deserves!

At least we can rest assured with the absolutely 120%-canon knowledge that the actions of Grogar's Umbrum-esque golem didn't affect Sombra's and her still-ongoing quest to revive Princess Amore offscreen.

Tell me about it! Most hate of her I've seen tends to boil down to "she did things wrong", which...yeah? She's a flawed character. You don't have a story without flawed characters.

You and me both, friend. I don't think there was really a place for her in the episode as it was, but still. I don't like that the show completely ignores the comics, even if I totally get why they do it.

Hope: *Loses everything in FIENDship, gets manipulated by the Umbrum for 1,000+ years, has a harsh wake-up call when Cadance exposes them, is accidentally blasted to near-death by Twilight, and ultimately decides to atone by helping Sombra revive Amore.*

Complaint: "She wasn't punished!"

Now, I dislike Unintentionally Unsympathetic Karma Houdinis as much as the next guy. But she never struck me as one of them.

My thoughts exactly! Like, when anyone says she wasn't punished, my only thought is "hasn't she been through enough?" (Also, this is MLP. When is anyone ever punished in this show? I'm not at all the critical type, I'm just trying to have fun here, but people's obsessions with "punishments" for villains in MLP has always been odd to me.)

Anyway, I was combing through voice clips on behindthevoiceactors.com, trying to think of who I'd most want to voice Hope if she was ever voiced in an official capacity, but no VA jumped out at me as fitting. Then again, I've always a very specific voice in my head for her, so maybe it's obvious that no one was clicking with me. Does anybody more familiar with voice actors than I have any ideas?

And, lastly; I noticed that Hope has the same color scheme as the Pokemon Mareanie. I have no idea what to do with this information.

Yeah, she can be found in Sombra's "FIENDship is Magic" issue, as well as the "Siege of the Crystal Empire" story.

She was never mentioned in the comics after that, and after "The Beginning of the End" thoroughly decanonized "Siege of the Crystal Empire", she probably never will be.
