I've been making sigs for a while now but lately I've been coming up with quite a bit of avatars both for myself and in general for free use :3 So here is a topic for displaying them, and future ones I will make. Didn't want to crowd my other topic by making it avatars and sigs, because things would get disorganized.

Thanks =3 It's quite enjoyable and simple to make sigs and avatars, really. I'm not great at it but for the standards of what I use, I'd say I do pretty good ones.

Yup. Paint.Net is a program you download, and Photobucket, you just need an account and uploaded pictures to use it.

Well, I made a triple signature package in my sig thread that each had a princess and their rival/one of the main antagonists of the series. This time, I went for the three villains alone as avatars, with the major emotion or personality trait that they cause or represent. Actually quite glad how these turned out. Here they all are, in order of show appearance.

 

Nightmare Moon: Envy

Envious of her sister's day that shunned her own night, Princess Luna long ago transformed into Nightmare Moon, and refused to take down the night through her bitter jealousy. Corrupted and unable to face reason, she was banished to the moon by her sister Celestia. When she returned, the powerful envy remained strong, and she tried to once more shroud the land in ever-lasting night.

 

Discord: Strife

The living embodiment of chaos and disharmony, Discord is a powerful spirit that has existed for far longer than even Celestia and her sister, Luna. A prankster with a vicious sense of humor, Discord effortlessly toyed with the Mane 6 and transformed them into their anti-selves, each pony representing the opposite of their element of harmony. Laughing at the expense of others, Discord causes strife, anger and friction between even the formerly best of friends.

 

Queen Chrysalis: Desire

The queen of a parasitic race called the Changelings, Chrysalis is a deceiving and cunning witch who infiltrated Canterlot, impersonated and imprisoned the to-be bride, Cadence, and fed off of the love of her to-be groom, Shining Armor. Having the insatiable hunger and desire for the stolen love that gave her power, Chrysalis' thirst to take over the city and rule Equestria was a terrifying sight to behold.

Latest avatar I've made for myself, like Discord himself, is a combination of all sorts of things. It has Rainbow Dash, who is best pony to me, with features of Discord, who is my favorite villain and overall favorite non-pony character. 'Chaotic' is a shorter representation of my name, as well as a description of DashCord in the avatar. Finally, the Everfree Forest in the BG is to add to the dismal creepy overall feel :3

My latest avatar. Dashie looks adorable in her cute jousting armor in the latest Season 3 spoiler song about the history of the 'Crystal Ponies', so I've decided to change my avatar accordingly for the time being.

This was a small spontaneous avatar I did after stumbling upon a plz account on DeviantART of Dashie wearing her cute bucket helmet. I searched up vectors, found one, and that was the end of it. I had to make one, and, of course, use her equally cute phrase during that seen.

Nothing super special on this update, just a very simple Dashie avatar in the style of 'Rainbow Dash Presents', the popular video series taking fanfics, usually dark ones, and turning them into random and funny stories. Dashie is adorable in this series for a completely different set of reasons than she is normally. Dat rambling. Dat smile.

 

 

Well, decided to add some text to this avatar. I couldn't think of any at first, but then I remembered Dashie's catch phrase and I decided to throw it in there.

It's actually not hard ^^ image editing program *not Paint*, like Paint.Net which is free, GIMP which is also free but far more advanced, Photoshop or Illustrator which aren't free, etc. All these programs use things called layers where you basically 'stack' images on top of one another, after you've cropped and resized them accordingly to fit within the image dimension limits *in this case, 150X150*. Then, text. I use GIMP for text and sometimes Photobucket which has editing tools for images you've uploaded that are really good. After text, if you want to add any effects, or change lighting or whatever, you can do that too.

 

It's hardly difficult once you learn the tools of the trade :3
