My friend on Facebook was on a vacation at Paris during the attack, she's stuck there for two more days.

I feel sorrow for all the people affected and I also feel sad for my friends who are at paris.
I hope they rest in peace.

Somewhat bemused at the ardent hypocrisy of people mourning the attacks in Paris when most don't care or prefer to ignore the thousands who die violently everyday all over the world. I guess it's all about perception and novelty. People react to what they're expected to react to, which is the unexpected. In this case it's the uncommon occurrence of terrorism in a world famous city in a developed first world country. It strikes close to home to know such a thing cpuld happen in a place not too unlike where many of us may reside.

 

While I don't downplay the tragedy of what occurred I'm not going to pretend to be shocked by it either. I am however interested to see what the aftermath will be.

Actually, I guess people are mourning because there was an attack in a place where an attack was not anticipated. While it is sad that people are being killed in Syria, Iraq, Yemen and other places in the world, those regions are places where there are ongoing conflicts, so deaths are expected there. However, France is not a country with a bad internal conflict nor is it in conflict with neighboring countries. The attack was also an unexpected one as it wasn't like the Charlie Hebdo one where terrorists were given a justification for an attack. 

 

As for how I am feeling, I am feeling pretty horrible as I am shedding tears for what has happened in France. Unlike Charlie Hebdo, this was not expected. I did not care about the Charlie Hebdo shootings as they pretty much had that coming.... but this.... this was not expected....

I just finished the main part of Legacy of the Void and got the epilogue missions and now I almost have to go to work, so pretty "bleh" from the fact that I must instead of seeing the dramatic conclusion to a game I've waited 5 years for I have to go help idiots activate their phones who will insist they are getting a better deal by locking themselves into a 2 year contract because they are convinced they are getting an iPhone for free that way.

Feeling pretty good. I started playing around with SAI, mostly colors and shading for a bit and I'm actually figuring out how to get things done now. Result looks like, if I do say so myself.

Kinda bored. Been busy today and actually got Buck Legacy in the mail the other day. Also been learning how to play it. And when I take a break I get bored and want to play more. lol
