As Thundy readjusted the roller coaster once more, Dynamo took noice that the coaster wasn't as huge as it was before. Hearing that it as below 100 feet seemed to put the unicorn's mind at ease. "It seems like an average roller coaster you'd see at theme parks." He noted, before he heard the griffon ask Bluebell if she wanted to try the ride. It also helped that Finn wanted to go in pairs. "I was about to ask that same question, but it seemed Finn beat me to it." He chuckled, before continuing. "How will the ride go? Will it be a single line of riders, or in pairs of two, or a two seater?" He looks towards Bluebell with a smile as it seemed that she too, was all for riding on the roller coaster. He blushed slightly at her teasing, but he couldn't help in chuckling. "Are you sure it's not the other way around?" He teased back, chuckling as he playfully stuck his tongue out at the light blue mare. "If the ride allows a two seater for everyone, then did you want to sit together?" He knew it was a bit sudden to ask her such a question, but he felt it was okay to ask. Seeing how Finn wanted to ride together with Thundy.

"Awesome!" Dynamo exclaimed with a grin, before wrapping his arms around Bluebell and pulled her into a hug. It took him a moment to realize what he had done, before suddenly pulling back from the hug. A sudden blush had appeared on his cheeks from his immediate actions. "I-I'm sorry about that, Bluebell." He says, giving the mare an apologetic look.

“I’m doing pretty good, how about you?” Pencil asked jovially.

Dynamo had suggested that, if the rollercoaster seats are in pairs, Bluebell should ride with him. Pencil thought that was sweet of him to include Bluebell. Then he hugged her in a very forward manner, which made the seat pairing idea seem rather odd. Dynamo seemed awful close with Bluebell but he had never told anyone else that. Were they related, or was something else going on?

Dynamo blinked for a moment as he tilted his head in confusion. From the looks of things, it didn't seem that Bluebell was bothered by the hug. "O-Oh, sorry about that. I thought I had acted on impulse and gave you a hug randomly. I should have asked if it was okay to give you a hug as I felt I should have given you more warning. Still, I'm sorry about that." He rubbed the back of his neck with his hoof as he felt worried he had said sorry a lot. It was a sort of bad habit he had when he was younger. His ears suddenly perked as he heard Pencil's question about him and Bluebell. "Oh." He responded, before continuing with a smile. "Remember the kart race we had a few days ago? You and Astral were a team and Pastel and I were another team. During the last part of the race, Bluebell had appeared out of thin air from a teleportation spell. She landed in the cart Pastel and I were using, while our cart had suddenly began floating into the sky." The smile turned sheepish as looking back the entire race seemed chaotic, in a way. "It was thanks to Bluebell's help that we were able to get the cart back onto the ground so we could finish the race. That's how she and I know of each other."

Pencil shook her head. Dynamo did not appear to understand what she was saying. She already knew about the kart race but was wondering if Bluebell and Dynamo knew each other outside of Friendshire. To reiterate, she began,

“No, no, no, that’s not what I’m saying! I already knew about the teleportation thing,”

She thought a moment before she continued. She was worried approaching the subject would be embarrassing to Dynamo. However, she reasoned that there really wasn’t a way around it: she had to be direct. If it embarrassed him a little, well, she would just have to figure that out if that occurred.

 “What I meant is, did you guys already know each other, you know, before Friendshire? You just seemed like you were close since you were hugging and everything,” she clarified.

"Alright everyone, there are enough cars on the coaster for every creature. Finn and I will take the front. Once you get in the car, buckle your seatbelt then pull down the lap bar. The seatbelt reaches all the way across the seat, so every creature will be safely tucked in. When you pull your lap bar down, you will hear it click repeatedly, that's the locking mechanism doing its job. Make sure it's comfortable yet at a safe position." Thundy explained as he opened the gate to the coaster. He picked up Finn and headed for the front car. "Oh Dynamo, Finn, see those cubbies over there, you can put your belts there so you'll be comfortable and not risk losing any loose articles on the belts." Thundy stated. 

"Hey Pencil, wanna sit next to me?" Chelsea asked. The water version of Pencil scampered towards Chelsea and landed on her talon. Chelsea gathered some water energy and made a protective bubble appear around the water version of Pencil. This bubble wouldn't burst. The bubble would also follow Chelsea wherever she went.

Finn wasn't about to argue with a seating arrangement like that! But soon he feels Thundy picking him up. "Whee!! Flight mode, engaged! Cumulonimbus, here I come!" Listening to Thundy, he tosses his belt in the cubby. As they make their way to the front car, Finn scratches his chin while looking at the rollercoaster ride. "Hmm... This ride couldn't last more than a few minutes. Although, considering the average speed of most rollercoaster rides... Factor in wind resistance, and decreased speeds on uphill inclines... Temporary speed boosts from turning and sideways motions... Support strength of the structure..." In Finn's POV, he sees hundreds of calculations and a few graphs floating in front of him. He sometimes makes corrections with his hoof. He does all this while mumbling to himself. He really is a science pony. He just can't turn it off!

Seeing Shadow return to normal sets Trilby's mind at ease, and least a little bit. Feeling somewhat bold, but mostly caring about Shadow, he wraps a hoof around her. He also levitates a soda over to her. "Here. Feel free to take a few sips. I don't have any aspirin, but I've heard caffeine can sometimes be good for a headache."

Dynamo's jaw dropped slightly as he was nervous, yet confused as to what Pencil was talking about. If she wasn't talking about meeting Bluebell at the race, then what was she talking about? He was given his answer as Pencil had asked if they had met before Friendshire. Realization soon hit the blue unicorn as he suddenly shook his head. "Oh, now I get what you were talking about. I haven't met Bluebell before Friendshire, actually. The whole cart race was the first time that I had met her." He says, giving Pencil and apologetic look. "I'm sorry about that Pencil. I was honestly confused to what you mean, but what you said cleared everything up. Also, yeah. I'm the kind of pony who likes to give hugs." He says, smiling sheepishly with a slight chuckle. 

Hearing that there was enough room for everyone, Dynamo smiled as it seemed his guess was somewhat correct on cart seats. He followed to where Thundy was pointing, while seeing the available cubbies for his and Finn's belts. "Oh, cool and thanks for assistance, Thundy." He soon made his way over towards the cubbies and placed his belt in the slot. Making sure that the belt wouldn't fall out of it's spot, he soon made his way back towards the group, who were making their way towards the coaster. "By the way, I was just wondering something. This roller coaster is safe, right? In regards to the whole seatbelts and lap bar." He wasn't trying to be make a big deal over nothing. He had a bad experience with coasters, so he wanted to be sure. His ears perked as he looked over to see Finn cheering, while being carried by the male griffon. Dynamo couldn't help in chuckling as it seemed like he was having fun being with the group. He thought he could hear Finn mumbling about the duration of the ride. It seemed as if Finn was really good at math and science. Dynamo was confused as he wasn't the best with math, but he still found it to be impressive.

“Oooh, okay! Thanks for clearing that up for me,” Pencil said gratefully. Now knowing how much of a hugger Dynamo was, his interaction with Bluebell made a lot more sense.

Thundy had directed everyone towards the cart seats, giving out instructions like he was the manager of an amusement park. Pencil watched as everyone took their seats, Dynamo sitting by Bluebell and Thundy sitting with Finn on his lap. Pencil was about to take a seat as well, but she realized she didn’t have anyone to sit with. She looked down in disappointment at having to ride an unfamiliar rollercoaster as well. However, her loneliness ended quickly when Chelsea asked to ride with her. Smiling up at her, she exclaimed,

“Yeah, sure, we can ride together! Do you wanna sit near the right or the left?”

Shadow smiled at Trilby for his concern, she wanted to deny his offer but it might sound rude to him, especially there are literally ponies everywhere around them “Thanks, but I'm not going to drink it all. It's your drink, not mine” she drank the soda, but gave it back to him after gulping down on the bubbly and delicious drink, even licking her lips as if a piece of a food is stuck on her face.

Sundae stared at Nopony with a bewildered look, unable to say a word to him. Why would anyone take her identity? For what reason and why?

"It's completely safe. The lapbar won't release until I press a switch on the control panel over there." Thundy said pointing to the control panel. He let his staff hover towards the panel. 

"Doesn't matter to me." Chelsea stated as she let Pencil go in first.

The druid believes Sundae did nothing wrong, and the one he's talking to is the real one. "I promise I will get to the bottom of this. But you can be in danger, so I need a way to help you." He produces a small bell from one of his saddlebags. "Take this. It's a valuable magical artifact, so be careful not to lose it. If you see anything strange or unusual, or just feel something isn't right, ring this bell. I will know where you are, and be able to protect you."

Sundae lifted an eyebrow as she accepted the small bell “Um... Okay?” she uttered in an awkward tone, “I will take good care of this, Sir Nopony” she bowed to him, somewhat feeling gratitude for the druid but still utterly confused and frustrated. Why it be her of all ponies in Friendshire? She has already enduring a curse and now somepony wants to either take advantage of her or took her identity? What did she do wrong?

"You're welcome and sorry about the earlier confusion, Pencil." Dynamo responded with a nod. Upon hearing about the control panel, the blue unicorn raised an eyebrow in confusion. Sure enough, the control panel was indeed where Thundy pointed towards. However, he remembered that just about everyone in the group was about to ride the roller coaster. "Wait a minute. Hey, Thundy?" He asks, trying to get the male griffon's attention. "If we are all going to ride the coaster, then who's going to operate the ride?" He wondered as he wasn't sure if the ride would operate like normal. If nobody was going to keep watch over the control panel, then would they be stuck on the ride? He wasn't sure, so he thought it would have been best to ask.

Thundy pointed to his staff. "I control the control panel through my staff. Once I snap my finger, the staff will utilize it's power to make the coaster go. Once the coaster has completed the circuit, I'll make a different signal for the staff to perform the unloading procedure." Thundy explained

All was well and good until Dynamo basically asked “Who’s driving this thing?”. Pencil’s heart nearly stopped as she realized that Thundy, the operator of the rollercoaster, was not going to be operating it since he wanted to be a rider. She felt a sudden urge to bolt, but her hooves had clung desperately to the grass as if they would never be in contact with the ground again. Before she could panic any further, Thundy mentioned his magical staff. Pencil had completely forgotten about it and what it was capable of until now.

“Oooohhh!” she exhaled, gasping for a moment before she was able to speak again. “Y-you scared me for a minute there! I t-thought the coaster was gonna run all crazy by itself. Hehehehe!”

Pencil suddenly broke out into nervous laughter. All of the nerves stewing in her stomach had bubbled over. She put a hoof to her mouth to stop herself, which only caused her to blush a very deep red. She had to take a moment to calm down to return her face back to its dark violet shade. Finally collected and composed, Pencil held her head up, not letting her nerves bother her anymore.

Chelsea decided to get in before Pencil. She sat down on the right side. "Come on Pencil, it's okay." She said beckoning Pencil to come sit next to her. The water version of Pencil waved at the real Pencil from its bubble.

Comforted by Chelsea’s kindness, Pencil made her way into the left seat. Water Pencil waved eagerly to her, to which real Pencil responded with a gleeful wave back. Carefully, Pencil secured the latch onto her lap, not letting go until she was sure she heard a click. She then used her magic to drag the seatbelt over her chest and insert it into the buckle.

“Ok, I think I’m all set now. How about you, Chelsea?” she asked, looking over towards her friend.

As Thundy explained how the roller coaster would work, Dynamo had let out a breath he didn't know he was holding. "That's a relief. I was about to ask how we would all get off of the ride, but glad that answered my question." He says, grinning sheepishly as it seemed Pencil had the same thought as he did. "I'm glad I wasn't the only one who was thinking that. I'm all for riding rides and all, but only if it's in a controlled environment." He says, before seeing the purple unicorn place a hoof to her mouth. "Hey, Pencil? Is everything okay?" He asks, a look of concern was present upon seeing his friend's expression. A moment had passed, before Pencil's face turned back to normal as she collected herself. He wasn't sure if it was due to nerves or something else, but he still showed concern towards his friend.

Chelsea buckled her seatbelt and pulled her lapbar down until it was nice and snug. "Yep, now we just gotta wait for the others." Chelsea stated. 

Thundy made sure little Finn was all settled in safe and secure. "Alright, let me know when the rest of you are ready." Thundy stated.

Making his way towards the coaster, Dynamo nodded as he approached one of the empty carts. "You don't have to tell me twice, Thundy." He says, before moving slightly off to the side. Effectively allowing Bluebell to take a step into the empty cart. "After you, Bluebell. Ladies first, after all." He bowed slightly, holding a hoof out as he was trying to be a gentle stallion.

Dynamo seemed worried about Pencil earlier. Of course, during the times where you don’t want anypony to notice you, somepony notices you. Despite that, Dynamo was a friend, so she knew he wouldn’t try to embarrass or tease her. Turning around in her seat, she told him,

“I’m doing alright, Dynamo. I’m just afraid of heights, that’s all. Plus, my sister, who’s a pegasus, used to try and fly me around sometimes. It never worked. She couldn’t lift me very well so she always dropped me, which I guess is part of my height issue, heh,”
