general Do you write?

As a programmer, a big part of my job is communicating with other programmers, which leads to a lot of technical writing.

I don't write fiction though. I probably could get decent at it, but I know that producing anything I'd be happy with would take a HUGE time investment, and it's just not something I'm passionate about.

I get so caught up in world-building that I have a hard time writing my characters into it in a way that makes sense to me.  I think I'm better at writing short stories though, I partially wrote this one story based off of a dream but never got around to finishing the story.  It's about these two little boys who keep trying to one-up each other, one's a wizard and the other is a mad-scientist, they're good kids but they keep arguing if magic or science is the superior method, they end up having a huge battle in the playground but at the end they realize that they're both good in their own ways and become friends.

I don't really write much fanfiction, mostly original stuff but I sometimes try writing a fanfic about my Dovahkiin.  I tend to prattle on with dialogue and not very good at writing fight scenes.  Should practice that a bit more now that I have a reliable writing program.

I write all the time. It’s mostly a collection of short romantic musical screwball comedies based around a recurring female character. They’re ridiculously complex despite being romantic comedies, but that’s where the ‘screwball’ aspect comes in. More often than not I include songs, which I love to write and they elevate the stories. I also wrote a book when I was a teen, which is terrible, but I learned from the writing process. And I have two other books half finished, which is the way they’ve been for years. I have too many stories and not enough time.

I wrote 2 or 3 small FiM fanfics a few years ago and abandon it. I only had an abstract vision of how my fic should feel and that's all, actual fic and scenes were struggle for me

I'm not much of a writer

I actually used to like writing short stories and occasionally fanfiction (not so much about the established characters, but rather I'd make all my own characters and put them in the same universe) back when I was in high school. I still have my old stories saved on my google drive and I like to go back and look at them occasionally as they're kind of like a "time capsule" for the interests I had at the time. :ooh: These days, I have trouble getting the ideas/motivation for any stories:/

Yes, I write a lot, i even have a blog where I posted stories. It was discontinued, bit I'm restarting it after my exams are over.

Right now I just finished this story: Serenity Falls in Love, based on a real life incident happened to me.

Spoiler

And that's just the prologue of a 10 chapters story split across 34 pages!

(Also I know this isn't the best place to ask, but can I get a proofreader?)
