I didn't even play those games, but I'd have to go with Spyro.... he's bad ass looking. ;)

Spyro, definitely. While I played both as a kid, I have much fonder memories of playing my Spyro games to death (literally as none of them work anymore!).

I grew up playing both series, and there's a warm spot in my heart for each. But I think Crash wins in the end. I'm more a fan of immediately gratifying games, and nothing fits that description like pulse-pounding platforming. Spyro games were more methodically paced, and focused on exploration; there's nothing wrong with that, but it meant that when I was younger, I never beat any of them.

Though I have to say that Crash 1 isn't a very good game, almost entirely because of the worthless save system. The only way to beat that game is to play it from start to finish in one sitting. Because even if you do manage to locate a save room, it doesn't save the amount of extra lives you have. And you NEED a ton of extra lives for the later levels.

Crash Bandicoot. Gotta get the crystals...

I can neither confirm nor deny myself being the cause of electrical related malfunctions. Anyways, you wouldn't happen to have a jar of replacement magic smoke would you?

Oh god, why must I choose only one?!

When I was younger I played both but I think I enjoyed Crash more at the time. Now that I'm older, I feel like I would enjoy playing Spyro more because of the need to 100% complete it.

Spyro 2 was my favorite Spyro and Crash: Warped was my favorite Crash

Spyro, always, for eternity. Not only do I much prefer the worlds and themes of Spyro but on top of that I'm not a fan of 3D platforming unless it's got some sort of forgiving mechanic that allows you to better control your jumps. Single-jump 3D platforming is hard or just doesn't work right. Crash games were extremely unforgiving on top of all that so it's never been a good series for me who doesn't particularly care about games that will hand you your own head on a silver platter.

Characters were always better in Spyro as well.

On top of that, past the PS1 era, I love the Legend of Spyro games while the Crash games........eh not so much.

I've never played Spyros. :( I always dreamed of them, but I never could - because my mom didn't want to buy them or I didn't find them.

But I do love Crash Bandicoot. They're just so... so... epic.

I haven't played much Spyro (Spyro 2, 3, Hero's Tail, the dragonfly one, Shadow Legacy, A New Beginning and Eternal Night) but I seem to remember enjoying playing them. However, Crash Bandicoot was a huge part of my childhood. I own every single Crash Bandicoot game (From Crash Bandicoot to Mind Over Mutant) and without Crash Bandicoot, I would never have been introduced to gaming (I probably would've, just not in that way)

"Haven't played much Spyro"? You've played like half the series. xD

I've never really played either except for The Legend of Spyro: A New Beginning. I guess I have to vote Spyro by default.

Actually I had both when I was a child. And I must say I have fond memories over Spyro more than Crash :)

In my defense, I never owned a PSX. At least give me some credit for skipping over Enter the Dragonfly and A Hero's Tail.

I went with Crash all the way back in those times. Never got to enjoy Spyro as much. Might be the style or the visual appeal. Or just the gameplay.

And that I didnt actually own a Spyro game myself... Crash Bandicoot was one of the first I had.

his design was also just amusing, having your body as your head, quite interesting

Good times... I actually played it again a couple months ago, got to love the freebies with PS+

I played a lot of Crash and Spyro on the Playstation, and eventually, they got replaced by Bioshock... :P

I'm going with Crash, because his games were a lot more entertaining, there were hundreds of different animations for all the ways he could die (......don't judge me...), and he managed to be funnier than Spyro, without even being able to talk.
