Wish I could take a closer look on the second picture. For some reason it takes me to the first one as well . At least I can tell the art style fits in 3D. I wanna boop, and rub the cheeks of those poneh

I have a feeling this will be a location of the movie. It’s too complex/intriguing to be a random background.

My guess for the first location is that it is Maretime Bay because it  just looks like it could be a small maritime town. As for the second one, I think it could be part of the unicorn territory, judging from the mystical feel of the place. If not that, maybe it is a mysterious forest the main characters travel through on their journey (kind of like the Everfree).

The first one doesn’t look that interesting or even recognisable as a Equestria location. I actually really like the painting style of the second one.
