I knew a lot of this already, but there is some new stuff, specifically when it comes to their hobbies. I guessed that Sunny may be into roller skating, but it definitely looks to be confirmed now. Hitch being a fan of music is new. Zipp being into science is the last thing I'd expect from her, especially since her other hobby is athletics.

Something that makes me a bit sad though, is that one of Pipp's hobbies is social media. I was really hoping that wouldn't be the case, but turns out it is. I liked Pipp's design from the start, so I was really hoping I'd like her personality as well. But since she'll most likely just be the typical social media obsessed character, I doubt I'll end up liking her as much. It's really disappointing to me that this is the route they decided to go down with her character.

I know :/ I liked Pipp from the start too and as soon as I saw the social media as a hobby it made me nervous. I love her design and the entertainer aspect. I’m just hoping they don’t overdo it with the social media thing because it could definitely make me not like her.

I don't remember if That is exacly what they said in the synopsis but it was somthing like that.

We did see in the "trailer" Sunny roller skating so no surprise there, but I am positively surprised that Zipp is into science. Also, Zephyr heights? Maybe Zephyr did something useful with himself in the end .  Bridlewood forest is an interesting name as well.

I am absolutely shocked and furious that social media is considered a ‘hobby.’  The fact that they’re even referencing it at all is appalling in every way shape or form.  Aside from that, it’s all fine.  Nothing groundbreaking but it’s always nice to know more about them. 

I actually felt something inside me break when I typed in the search Friendship is Magic and nothing came up.  But then I went further and saw that they have kept the FiM pages.  *sighs* Thank Celestia.

I was thinking about this.

I doubt she'll be unlikable at all, but the social media thing, if that is what defines her, it could be seen as shallow or just fixated. Let alone the whole can of worms about people being iffy with phones in Equestria, which I think could work, but if done the right way.

I remember saying that if it's something that doesn't come up all the time, I could see it being digestible. But if that's her big thing, I get concerned. Myself personally, I never got into social media at all, just cause I'm really not social offline either, but then I realized who this show is really for, and how we are lucky enough to have come along for the ride, really.

But I'm equally expecting the movie to blow this trepidation away by making somepony real likable, as the show has done before with the "fashion" focused Rarity.

Just as I said, Pipp, please don't talk about your "likes" and "feed". Or "hashtags".

I have known tomboys in real life are inclined to science and math, but it’s also surprising since tomboys in media are focused on atheism or general unladylike; or, just being the “StRoNg WaHmEn” with the personality of a rock like Cap Marcel . Zip gave me that first impression, but seems she has her charm as well

For real. Ponies don’t have a good track record regarding social media. Just look at Vignette Valencia, and two whole weeks the second half S1 of Pony Life

These are all my thoughts exactly. They better not make that a large part of the show because it will be absolutely horrible if it is.

zipp is a mare D: totally had her down as a stallion. Just like Dashie now I will have to accept misgendering of another pony from my neices it's good for them (and me) to step outside our butterfly and unicorn idea of femine pony characters though, so I am in favour

 

As for Pipp liking social media... all I can say is pandering to kiddies is not the way to make cultural phenomena :s c'mon ponies, be bolder!

So Pipp might use Trotter, but it's very unlikely now that Hitch will be a bad cop. Bad and good, that's what I'm used to, and I'm used to the social media junk from Equestria Girls.  Also noticed that Izzy is from Bridlewood Forest...Bridle Gossip? Will that be the home of the "crazy conspiracy theories"? I noticed too that Sunny and Hitch are from the same place, Maretime Bay, the same way the princess siblings share the same location...meaning that it's very likely now that these two are brother and sister.

Eh. Nothing that sticks out to me especially. Seems fairly standard. The social media hobby doesnt surprise me. I knew that it would be a thing from the moment I seen the phone from before. It is something I simply can't make a judgement on yet. My guess is that it will be used as the simple gag of "OMG I am so popular look at mah Tweeters and Footbick!". That again sounds fairly typical of the concept. Depends on how far they go with it I suppose. 

At this point, all I want is to watch it so I can finally determine how I feel about it. Being the follow up to G4, it gives me a defacto feeling of worried anticipation regardless of what they show in marketing.

I actually laughed when I saw the name. I know a lot of people don't like Zephyr Breeze for being obnoxious and looking for an excuse to lay about because he's scared of getting out of his comfort zone, but I don't mind
