I regret to inform you that Michael Morones, a kid who suffered brain damage after attempting suicide due to being bullied for liking MLP, has passed away.

I still remember when I first heard this story. Poor, poor kid. Rest in peace to him.

Not gonna lie,  up until a few months ago, I was wondering what happened with him. HEard the fund raiser for his family to get a more handicapable van and donated. Went to the Aquarium for his 19th birthday. I was happy he managed to pull through in the end and that all of the support from the community, to the show staff and even his favorite musician Lindsay Sterling, all managed to make a difference. But just like that, he's now gone. 

 

 

Back when Micheal was struggling, his family or somepony trying to help started a fundraiser and sold this T-Shirt, because apparently you pronounce Morones like Ramones. I think this may have been the first pony shirt I ever bought. Maybe I'll break it back out. I'm glad that at least this token gesture of mine made a little bit of a difference. 

 

Rest in Power, Micheal. May your legacy live on.
