Is chaos actually a necessity?

One side can't exist without the other otherwise the very fabric of our existence would be in jeopardy. Both sides attempt to become dominant over the other which is when those who are neutral work their ways to ensure both become equal again.

Chaos is the very nature of existence while order is invariably a temporary state. Everything returns to chaos eventually.

Friendship isn't always easy. But it's definitely worth fighting for.

Depends on how you define "Chaos". However the way it's explained in the show just felt like a poor excuse to justify bringing back Discord. Because think about it: If Chaos is so important for balance, why was Discord sealed away not just once, but twice in the first place?

Without chaos, there is no change. The world becomes stagnant and life ceases to exist.

However Chaos has a tendency to present itself as a much greater threat, which results in order and harmony often being mixed up with each other.

Yes. Conflict is an essential part of every story. And it is the source of the things you all do in the dark, when you think nobody is watching you. But you have grossly underestimated my creeping abilities. If you think so. Chaos is a part of this reality, as polarity. Black and white. Dark and light. Good and evil. Love and hate. Heat and cold. Male and female. You know how it goes. Every force has an antithesis meant to reflect itself in order to create the illusion that defines our perception of reality. In this case, chaos, which is entropy, finds its opposite in Creation. Because life and death are one and the same.
And everything leads back... to you know whom.

Babylon 5 did this, go watch it. Really, that's one of the main themes of the show.

Both chaos and order are necessary. Order by itself, leads to stagnation and no freedom, chaos, by itself leads to no freedom and lots of suffering.

However, chaos makes people stronger and able to adapt to unforseen problems.

Imagine how horrible it would be to live in either extreme. Chaos is just anarchy, people fighting each other all the time, some temporary alliances are made between people and quickly destroyed because one inevitably betrays the other.

However, order is no better - not only it would he horrible to live, because nobody would have freedom (freedom is chaos, since you can do whatever you want, so not "orderly"), but such a system would be inflexible and would collapse in an event of an unforseen problem.

In any kind of world, chaos will always exist to some degree and you can't just get rid of it. It will always find a way to break free, because that's just how things are. When chaos takes over completely, that's when problems rise.

At first I rejected the zero, but that was because I simply didn't understand it. Now I do.
