I have more than 2,500 dvds, so I can't list them here.

I don't think I have seen that many movies or series in my lifetime.

Let me ask you this are there any in my collection you don't have or no?

Most of what you have I don't have. 2000 of my dvds are cartoons, 500 are live action. 80% of the live action is movies older than 1990. I also buy different versions of a movie if it has different special editions.

This is my new signature.

I only have a few DVDs. I have about 120 VHS tapes though, but the vast majority of them are ones that I recorded from TV, mostly various concerts and music-themed TV shows. I still record a few tapes per year.

I have a bunch of laserdiscs though.

I can't say I've seen laserdisc movies.hkw are the qualities of them compared to VHS or DVD?

Laserdisc video quality is better than VHS and similar to DVD (though LD is an analog format). The main difference is that Laserdiscs more often have movies in letterbox format (VHS is usually pan&scan) and if the disc is made correctly, it does not degrade over time. Unlike VHS, LD only holds up to 1 hour of recording per side, so a movie takes up at least two sides. Some players can play both sides automatically, but others can't and if the movie is longer than 2 hours I need to change the disc at some point.

Do you count by the disk or count a series as one?

I count a box that is sold as a unit. So a movie counts as 1, or a season of a show with 4 discs counts as 1, or complete collection with 10 discs counts as 1 entry.

Anyone collect Blu-rays? I started collecting Blu ray discs 2 years ago. I bought an external BD drive at that time as well.

Back in the early 90s, when I was a kid, I had this wooden rotating shelf rack where the VHS tapes were planted on these small-yet-noticeable wooden cylinders.

The collection composed of 50 to 60 VHS tapes.

Pre-school cartoon movie specials

Dr. Seuss book animated specials

My Little Pony:  Firefly's Adventure

A circus performance

Recordings of The Simpsons

Looney Tunes classics

Some of the Sonic the Hedgehog cartoons

Recordings of other shows

Snow White

Cinderella

The Little Mermaid

A Goofy Movie (1994)

A recording of a computer game

Video game promotional stuff

Even Arthur season 1 and Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers season 2 videotapes made it to this collection.

Sadly, I no longer have the rotating rack, nor any of the tapes.  But I currently have 15 tapes of some different recorded shows.  One tape has all of Avatar:  The Last Airbender Book 3 on it.

I have thousands of both DVD and VHS in my collection, covering movies (1920s to present), TV series (live and animated), Broadway and even vintage commercial collections. I wish I could count them all but they’re scattered over a dozen shelves and boxes all over the apartment. I wish I could be more specific.
