gaming What game made you rage quit?

League of Legends. Beyond being hard stuck in high silver, the community is just so toxic. I found myself only being able to play one match at a time before I felt too stressed to continue playing. If you make one mistake, your team flames you the entire thirty minute match, whether or not you lose. If you're unlucky, the enemy team joins in, too.

Dark Souls 3. I have played and beaten Demons Souls, the previous two Souls games, Bloodborne and several Soulslike games like Nioh and Salt and Sanctuary, but Dark Souls 3 was too much for me. It's obvious that it's trying so hard to be Bloodborne without having even half the things that made Bloodborne enjoyable. I spent TWO HOURS trying just to get past the Pontiff Knights before I called it quits.

Ornstein and Smough, Fume Knight, and Ludwig The Accursed, three infamously difficult bosses that I finally conquered after hours of trying, but the stupid Pontiff Knights, supposedly regular enemies, are what made me rage quit.

MOTHER, also known as Earthbound Beginnings.

Two words: Duncan's Factory.

Not only is the encounter rate extremely high, but you also have a teammate which must be kept alive throughout this labyrinth of a building. There is also the issue of actually arriving at the factory itself, which is itself an ordeal, considering that there are enemies which can trigger the protagonist's asthma, or worse, kill your teammate. If your teammate (Lloyd) dies, you must go all the way back to the city and pay 190$ to revive him, or go back to Magicant, revive him for free,  and go through the Crystal Cave again, just to get another try at Duncan's Factory.

Thank Heavens that portion of the game is over. :please: Needless to say, I was exhausted by the end of this.

I think the only one I can actually think of would be Them's Fighting Herds. Interestingly enough, it's not the fault of the game or, for that matter, the people who play it. Instead, the reason it ticks me off so much is that the few people who currently play it got insanely good at it so that every time I do fire it up... well, this happens.

Dark Souls 3 is such a weird game and I always thought it was overrated. While there's a lot of cool stuff, the way enemies are designed is often terrible, being extremely fast and agile while you still have Dark Souls movements. Like you said, it feels like Bloodborne was thrown into the mix and it didn't mix well. Even the game's (in my opinion) best boss, Nameless King, is soured by having to fight his drake first, which isn't that hard, it is just annoying. It doesn't feel as tightly designed as Dark Souls 1. Nor does the overall aesthetic. The game looks beautiful, but I honestly got so bored of the 'everything is dead and gloomy' feel. I know that probably makes no sense, but DS3 just feels off compared to the world of DS1. For me, DS1 is still the king of the series.

@Kyoshi Same. I ended up going so far as to platinum DS1 because I loved it so much, and it is still my favorite of the Souls series overall.

Sly 1, at final boss level,  keep getting hit by lazers when trying to get to boss when he down.

The first phase of his fight then? That’s really not that bad. Just make sure you’ve got two lucky charms. After a few deaths it should most likely give you two; and the attack pattern should be easier to memorize by then. It’s the phase after that is the one that gives me the most problems despite playing the game like a dozen or so times. Unless that was the phase you were talking about, then I suggest still making sure you’ve got two lucky charms and carefully watch everything around you, like really really watch everything.

As for me I’d say probably I dunno I remember getting really pissed off at  strangely enough the 3rd Sly Game. And it was I think close to the final boss. And the 4th one around that same area too. But I didn’t really ragequit for too long as I eventually beat them.

It's bit when boss was down on the lavar and had to jump on rocks to get to him and laster going past, try avoid it but it game you had to be quick and I kinda slow and in a rush. Keep getting knockout,it stress me, then give up. Did wanted to play Sly games, when play it on Demo but it does get diffcult as all games are. It kind of sneaky game. Kind of lost interest and love like I had with Spyro games but still play it, it entertain me. I give up on Sly 1 and move on to Sly 2 and on final level, wanted to collect bottles before I start missions but so many enermies and they seem tricky, get hit with fire and losing lives fast. and look on youtube on when to find the bottles but keep get caught. Try not to but seem so many enermies. So give up on that want to carry on without collect bottle but lost interest cos it annoyed me. Not sure on sly 3.

So many enermies, for me I try not to get caught but there a enermy i didn't know it there keep caughting me and when try to fight and avoid it attack, keep getting hit and losing live. look on Youtube to find bottle but keep lost lives and lose track on finding bottles. I would carry on with the missons but like I said lost interest in playing it and was p***. Going move on to Sly 3 and but feel not sure I want to play on it.

The original Smash. Oh the frustration I've had with that game. I broke accessories and controllers from the rage it produced. Star Fox 64 is a close second.

If you're wondering why, it's not because either game is difficult. I am a perfectionist and when I get into a game, I get REALLY into it. Those happened to be two games I got seriously into...

  • 2 weeks later...

There was a time in Baten Kaitos when I painfully won against a boss after more than two hours playtime. All I had to do was to cross a corridor and save my game. And then, a tiny ennemy came and exterminated what was left of my characters.

I never played again to this game even once after that. :mlp_wat:
