What we could do officially if not unofficially is do a kind of dramatic reading of fan fiction found on the forums or on the web. Now we need a couple of things. but not all is required.

 

Voice Actors to do voices. These will be the main people, we don't need any of the canon voices, but some people who could simply provide a unique voice to the fray. If you want to apply for it, you have to ensure me you can record voice clips from your computer and you can provide good clean audio (not studio quality but not have any background noises).

 

Readers to actually point out well written stories, unless you feel that we can scrupulously pick any story and read it in a funny way. So simply stories people. Chop chop.

 

And perhaps as a added bonus, someone to do added art. Considering it will be on YouTube, perhaps someone who is willing to make cover pictures and receive nothing but praise or something. We aren't asking you to make animated stuff or provide funny sketches for it, unless somepony feels up to that commitment.

 

At any rate, if you can, apply. But you don't have to, I will provide a list below of people who have signed up, remember, this is for the official forums' channel, it is important that we make it a good quality thing, not just half ass it and hope people like it. Good impressions and things like that are important, also free advertising and perhaps raking in all the YouTube money to help support the forum or something. Cause money is cool. Maybe.

 

Any rate, apply if you feel up to it.

ALSO IMPORTANT. If you can at all provide voice samples or recording samples of your own voice, I will put you up for considering over those who did not provide them. I am not angry at those who didn't but it does help to know those who can record and can record in good quality.

This idea is genius! I can definitely be a voice actor - particularly with higher pitched voices like Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy :) How do we apply? :D

By being nice and stuff. And just asking, however I could add, anyone wishing to provide voice samples is free to do so, if they do, I will put them higher up on the list.

Awesome :) What should we put in the voice samples - just a few lines from some canon characters?

Oh, I've read a fanfic before(It was Shankveld, and I still carry the emotional and mental scars from reading it), and I can record my voice, can I do this? Please?

 

Huge Thread containing hours of voice samples.

 

Can you record further away from your computer tower, because I can clearly hear it running in the background and it is quite noticeable. Considering at this point you only need voice and no Minecraft running.

Thanks, I suppose me and Spike's VA do have a level of manliness and swag in our voices. : P

Can you record further away from your computer tower, because I can clearly hear it running in the background and it is quite noticeable. Considering at this point you only need voice and no Minecraft running.

Computer Tower? My Laptop is barely a convenience store, let alone one of them skyscraper computers that can play games like Skyrim on max settings.

 

Granted it does make noise quite a bit when I record, and I don't use the best audio program to record with. I could try something else and see how that work. Do you know of any easy to use audio recording programs?

I generally use Audacity, but a built in microphone is one of those banes of recording. placing the microphone further away from the computer tends to help a lot in terms of quality. Depends, what kind of equipment for recording your voice do you have?

I do have more, posted elsewhere. I can also write additional stories (my goodness do I have a huge list of story ideas to fulfill).

 

As for my voice ... I have no idea on my voice quality. I'll do a wee bit of recording later tonight and PM some samples, if that's alright.

 

Any other positions / task you can think of, I'm all for in trying to assist.

Sound quality shouldn't be a problem for me, that's why I'll be recording at night. Only thing I'm worried about is that my tool is a headset ... not sure what electrical feedback I'll get without something more 'professional'. I suppose we'll see!

 

As for more personalized stories, sure thing. If you (or anyone else) has an idea on what would be more suitable for something forum-specific just send me a PM or something.

 

Artistic skills are certainly not my forte, so that I can't help with. Although this community has plenty of talented artists, so I'm sure that won't be a problem!

 

In terms of music, I know someone that likes to make pony-related music. I'll shoot him a message and see if he's interested in maybe lending an assist.

I would love to be Voice actor but, as you know, I don't have the privacy to do so. I've heard I'm pretty awesome with voices, I still hate my own recordings though >.> (Still singing in the car, and I think I'm improving :P)

 

Perhaps soon I will be able to join up, but until then, good luck with the project :3

If you still need people, I can probably contribute :) I have a decent range of voices, and my sister says I have "the best poetry voice ever!" I'm not sure exactly what that means, but I assume it's a compliment to how I read things. Anyway, I could likely pull off just about any character you need. Just an open offer, if you're still looking. :D

So, Neikos has started Scriptifying the fan fiction he posted. We'll ask the creator if we can use it.


People won't lose tracks of their lines. Also when recording, record in small pieces, and in multiple takes, until you get it properly.


Then I will edit it together, once we get this going, I will PM the members with some more details.
