Recently, a company called Panaderia announced a "united Ponyverse", which promised, among other things, a new all-star series and a brand new series.

Based on how this all sounds, it seems like they're rebranding and launching a new series. I believe this marks a new phase or era for the franchise. G4 might be making a return through the new series and it could signal the end of G5's era of being by itself. There could be co-series or adventures between the generations, which could be pretty good actually.
