My first Nintendo/Zelda game was A Link to the Past, and I have been an die-hard fan since. However, why is Star Fox not on the poll? One of Nintendo's less appreciated franchises that could really use a title on the Wii or WiiU.

It seems we are quite alike; t'was my first game ever as well, and I *loved* it. A Link to the Past has been argued to be the best one in the series by many top reviewers and critics, and some even place it in lists like "top 10 games of all time", "top 20 games of all time", "top 5 retro games of all time", etc.

I like the old pokemon games. Can't stand the new ones. Mario franchise has ups and downs; I love the old SNES classics in the series with a passion, though.

Pokemon no question, I've played those games for hundreds of hours. Nintendo's longer lasting games are definitely my favorite in general though, games like Smash Bros., Zelda(TP and SS are both pretty long anyway), and Xenoblade ;) Pokemon is still the best of 'em though imo. :)

I really enjoy most of the older Zelda games (Although with the direction their more recent games have taken it's apparent that they're starting to go downhill), but I think my favorite might be Castlevania.

Pokemon, with Kirby as a close second.

I logged over 268 hours in just Pearl alone, not counting the rest of the games that I've logged God knows how much in. And anygame that you pay $35 for and get 200+ hours out of is fine by me.

I have to give it to Pokemon for the reason above.

ive got 483 hours on just sapphire alone. about 1514+ total hours between them all and Their still really enjoyable to play.

Donkey Kong Country, not entirely developed by nintendo but it seriously has to be one of my favorite franchises from them.

Zelda. Plain and simple.

That franchise boasts THE greatest game ever made by human beings and every other game in the franchise is brilliant.

I'm pretty cool. I think.

Also, new OC (it has a cutie mark this time!).

Pokemon and Metriod. But if Kid Icarus would get more games as good as Uprising then I'll add that to the list.

I hold the Yoshi and Mario franchises very close to my heart (yes, Yoshi is technically and legally a separate franchise from Mario), but I love everything Nintendo, really. They have some of the most talented developers in the world, so you can generally trust whatever they pour several million dollars into to be awesome.

One thing that Nintendo doesn't get enough credit for, in my opinion, is that their longest-running franchises like Mario and The Legend of Zelda are shining proof that it is indeed possible to create 17+ sequels to something without killing the franchise. I greatly admire them for this, in an age where most film and game studios are already cast into a harsh critical light for attempting even one sequel. Ironically, it's usually diehard Call of Duty fans who refuse to touch anything with Nintendo's logo on it "because they rehash out the same Mario game every year," in my experience. ^_^

About half of the stuff Nintendo puts out makes it into "Top X Games of All Time" lists routinely. ;)

My favorite Nintendo Franchise is Pokemon. Pokemon Blue was my first video game.

Same here. First game and I completed my Pokedex legitimately by trading with friends and such, until Game Boys were banned from recess.

Once that went into effect, I played my Game Boy in the car on the way to school, left it in the glove box, then played it when I got picked up on the ride home.
