Akemi Homura 7,680 March 20, 2012 Share March 20, 2012 (edited) Physical injury as in getting bruised badly and such. Note that the term "worst injury" here is relative. Back in the 6th grade (4 years ago), I was playing basketball when I didn't see a pass coming (the ball was travelling pretty fast) and it hit my squarely in the face -- with the impact mostly belonging in between my eyes and just right above my nose. Needless to say, my nose was bleeding like crazy and it took a few plugs to stop the bleeding. I also received a rather big bruise on the bridge of my nose. It hurt for quite a while, but thankfully I was able to not whine about the injury Edited March 20, 2012 by Devin Dash McCourty
AppleShy Sparkle 312 March 20, 2012 Share March 20, 2012 Don't think i've recieved any serious injuries, but about 2 years ago, i was on a trampoline and tried to bounce on my butt and then do a frontflip. I landed on my neck and had trouble breathing for about half an hour. Better run, run, run, run, run.

Doctor XFizzle 8,669 March 20, 2012 Share March 20, 2012 Mine was also 6th grade basketball. First shot of the game I went up for the rebound. Didn't get the ball, but when I came down and looked to run down court, I noticed something wrong with my hand. Broken right pinkie pie finger. Instead of my finger pointing North along with the others like it should have, it was pointing East. My coach called timeout and tried snapping it back in place but my friend's mom who was a nurse is like noooo, and gave me an aspirin to hold me over until I went to the hospital. Weird thing is, didn't feel anything or hear anything. I was lucky I glanced down at my hand and noticed something out of place. To this day I have no idea how I didn't feel any pain. Dany Heatley 160 March 20, 2012 Share March 20, 2012 I've never been seriously injured, but about a year ago I cut the end of my index finger off while ajusting the disc brakes on my mountain bike. I had the bike upside down, and spun the pedals as fast as I could in top gear. While trying to center the disc while the wheel was spinning, I was careless and jammed my finger into the disc, which haulted the wheel immediately. It was dripping blood, and hurt quite bad. But the real painful part was waiting 18 hours to get it stitched back together (free healthcare=long wait for non life threatening injury ). I also got a freak injury about 5 years ago while bowling; while throwing the ball, a huge spliter jammed between my finger and my nail. That hurt like a bitch. Getting the needle shoved in my finger to freeze it hurt just as much as the injury itself, as the doctor was twisting and spinning the needle in my finger and I could hear and feel my bones crunching... kinda weird that both my worst injuries happened to my fingers. ¿ʇı ʇnoqɐ ʇɥƃıɟ oʇ ʇuɐM˙ǝzıs ǝɯɐs ǝɥʇ ʇ,uǝɹɐ slıdnd ʎɯ ɥɐǝʎ
w1kk3d 56 March 20, 2012 Share March 20, 2012 This is actually a funny story! But! When I was snowboarding with my old middle school, I had this sort of "girlfriend" and we were at the top of whatever hill was just above the bunny hill and she asked how she looked in her new snow outfit, I said "well you look like big fat ball of fluff" meant to be cute... she pushed me, and i slid a ways, into a tree and broke my arm and bruised my hip bone and leg. Fun times!
Fire_Fly 499 March 20, 2012 Share March 20, 2012 Fractured my left hand about a year ago, playing soccer. I felt fine at first; I was still able to write and draw like I always was, but the pain just started to creep up on me for about a week after that. Then, I ended up getting an X-ray and I was shocked, to say the least. I've got an idea! No..... No, wait; it's just a concussion....
Mephala 2,633 March 20, 2012 Share March 20, 2012 (edited) I almost broke my nose twice yesterday. Once I got hit in the face with a basketball and the second time I did dolphin kick really intensely and slammed my nose really hard into the kickboard XD Most recent was me falling down 6 steps onto the ground. Today. I have a big bruise on my wrist which thankfully didn't break. I get hurt on a daily basis Edited March 20, 2012 by PinkieDaShy

I almost broke my fingers. But, to this day, I still haven't broken any bones.
Dragonshy 2,305 March 20, 2012 Share March 20, 2012 Ooh Injury thread! lol jk Hmm well when I was little I fell backwards of a tennis net and I belive had to get stapled in the head for that (not fun) When I was littler I was camping and a metal table that was in the overhead slide down and hit me in the face, stitches for that. Got a bad scar on my eyebrow. And when I was a baby I fell out of a bed. Also, got glued for something, hmm don't remember why Yeh Want to know how to get more page views? Click here. HunterTSN 1,444 March 20, 2012 Share March 20, 2012 Okay here we go. So I was spending the afternoon at my friends house a few years back. He had a bunch of woods we would go out into and climb trees... without parental supervision. So anyway there was a dead tree I just felt like I had the need to climb. So I climb all the way to the very top, possibly 30 feet in the air, and then proceed to fall back down... right onto a jagged stump of another tree. So that is why I was rushed to the ER at the age of 11, got covered in bandages, and have a giant scar running down the entire left side of my body from right under my shoulder to my hip. Fun. Being the hyper-ass kid I was, I tried to be Tarzan and swing from the curtains... needless to say, one of the clippings went in my mouth and slashed my tongue and lower lip. Come to think of it, I injured myself a ton back when I was 4... like the one time I was running around a school (with my mom and some of her friends watching) and accidentally tripped and hit my head (got bruised), and the time where I accidentally cut myself with scissors while trying to rip a sticker off a toy bus. And back when I was around 2, my dad left me alone in his workplace and unknowingly I picked up a blade and tried to feel it. Let's just say my hand needed intensive care after that as it was bleeding like shit. I can't remember that event though, since I was so young.

Emerald Flame 381 March 20, 2012 Share March 20, 2012 Picture so you can understand what I'm talking about. You see the white thing? Last Wednesday at work, our tree cutter landed one of those on my head. He stopped as soon as he heard the impact, and I ducked as soon as I felt it. My neck was sore for the rest of the day, but it would've been much worse if I weren't wearing a hardhat. The worst thing about that? Another one of my coworkers stood there, saw it coming, and did nothing to stop it.

Key Gear 6,663 March 21, 2012 Share March 21, 2012 (edited) About 5 years ago, I was playing flag football at 3 am in the morning with a bunch of high school football players from a nearby high school. My team was winning by a lot of points and no one was as fast as I was, so I decided to be a jerk have some fun and run the opposite direction for a bit before making the goal. Yeah... Well.... That didn't work out so well. One guy that I had lost track of got tired of my grandstanding and tackled me. (So much for no contact flag football.) He came in too low to hit me properly though, he just hit my left leg instead. Like an idiot a true Spartan, I said that I was fine and kept playing through the pain - it didn't seem so bad at the time. The next day, my leg was in extreme pain. My knee had been messed up pretty badly. I don't remember much of the details, but I do remember that it took me about 2 months before I was able to use the leg for walking. I also remember that it took 3 years to finally be able to run at any decent speed again. Other than that, nothing too much has happened to me in recent memory. Key Gear 6,663 March 21, 2012 Share March 21, 2012 I hope you didn't tear a ligament. Those take months to recover from. Actually, I wouldn't know. I was a completely broke college student without insurance at the time, so I never actually saw a doctor. Looking back on things, I probably should have gone to an emergency room regardless, but I haven't had any problems for a while now so, thankfully, it seems like everything worked out in the end. The Milkman 186 March 21, 2012 Share March 21, 2012 There was a challenge in gym class on the school, this was on 6th grade. The floor was wet, very wet, the challenge was run backwards for 3 laps, the fast as we could so we could get a higher grade. I made a backflip by accident and broke my hand, everyone started laughing and i was in total pain, then everyone noticed the injury i had next day and said sorry. SXCJ40 125 March 21, 2012 Share March 21, 2012 um... mine would probably have to be a tie between when I was riding my motorcycle and I hit a gravel patch, stopping the bike, but sending me over the handle bars at 30 mph, i messed up my arm pretty bad and still have the scars to prove it. or when I tried to dive for the first time, and when I hit the water my body folded (feet touched head) doing something to my back, and i couldn't move for a few days. But I'm all fine now I'm just your average Brony, Whovian, Sonic Fan, Yognaught, Mechanic, Drag racing........ Vexx3 1,540 March 21, 2012 Share March 21, 2012 I'm a bit of a clumsy person, so it's hard for me to believe sometimes that I've never even broken a bone. I think my most severe injury was when I was riding my friend's motor scooter. I was going pretty fast and hit the front brake instead of the back. I still have a scar on my shin, it was bleeding pretty bad. Also I broke a few parts on the scooter.
Crispy 5,563 March 21, 2012 Share March 21, 2012 Senior year of high school during football, I broke three bones in my right hand and got the knuckle of my ring finger pushed backwards. That or the night I broke my foot two-stepping after closing down Bobby Rockets.
