Your worst injury?

I was running the 100m sprint in Track when I was in 11th grade, and as I was in 1st about to win I heard and felt a pop in my left hip, so I had to wobble across the finish line (still got second), and I found out my hip flexer popped out of place. :( Physical Therapy hurt so much for those 2 months I had to do it

This year I had my scariest injury yet. I had pinched my nerve in my head and the side effects at first were seemingly that of a stroke. (I was so scared) I had a continuous stiff neck, numbness, light headedness, and pain for months because my nerves were so fucked up. It's only begun now that I can move it normally and there's almost no cramps. I still need to move around my head to stretch it though.

I fell down about 10 feet onto concrete and cracked my skull when I was 14.  I don't really want to go into the specifics of what I was doing, just that I was being more of an idiot than usual.  The fall also gave me a dent in my skull that the doctors had to pop out, and they did in the same manner you'd pull dents out of a car's body, interestingly enough.  I've also got a scar on my head from where they had to cut to let the blood out.

Luckily, afterwards I was no more brain damaged than before, but I do have narcolepsy because of it.  At least I got a cool scar out of it.

My worst injury was to my heart~ </3 when I fell off my bike when I was young and scraped my legs against the ground, I believe... or it could have been when a cat scratched at my neck before, I'm not sure. I don't get injuries very often since I rarely do much that could cause or risk them, so it's hard to recall that many instances where I got anything major. x3

I'm not sure. I haven't had very serious injuries. I guess one was when I broke my arm during gym class in, like, three different spots. I also had my lip split open by a seat belt (I only needed two). Other than that, nothing really serious. I skimmed my foot on a nail that was coming out of the ground randomly in the middle of a doorway IN MY HOUSE. I don't even know how that happened, but luckily I just avoided stepping straight down onto it, and instead it just sliced my foot.

I have a lot of contenders for that dubious honor, all knee injuries most of them work related. None of them needed surgery, but they were all patellar tendenitis which cannot be fixed with surgery and all of them caused permanent damage and all of them causing me to miss weeks or in some cases months of work. I have had 6 in total and it is a bit of a toss up as to whether my first one which started this whole mess in the first place or my 4th one were the worst and they back stacked on two additional injuries in the course of that same year.

There are two injuries that I found quite significant in my life. One time in elementary school, I was at recess, and I was on this seesaw. There were these tall girls who applied a lot of force to it, then eventually there were like five who used all their might while I was just one on the side. I flew upward and off the seesaw, then I fell into the wood chips. I deserved it for acting like I did at home. Another one is a little recent, I was biking very fast and what seemed to be a speed bump on the sidewalk or something, I went on while I was going fast, then I lost aerial control and I fell, scraping my elbow. The pain was quite annoying, but now it's alright.

Probably the worst is a complete missed cue in a martial arts (Jiu jitsu) class i took several years ago. It was my fault, i got distracted and took a hard swing to the face followed by a dude dropping on me to the ground for good measure. Chipped my tooth, broke two fingers and sprained my ankle. I learned the meaning of "seeing stars" that day.

I was running around a roadway, and once I stepped on the yellow road bump, I tripped over my shoelace and did a dive on the scorching hot concrete. The inside of my palm was bleeding, my right knee had a large open wound, as well as a medium one near the elbow of my right arm.

It didn't feel painful until a couple of minutes. That was when it started to sting all over, and I decided to walk the rest of the run before I went straight home.

I've had a few nasty bike crashes that required hospital visits. I used to race road cycling, so that happened a lot. I've had more road rashes than I can count and sometimes a little worse, but considering the injuries other cyclists I know have gotten, none of mine were that bad.

In general, I don't get injured very often. Surprising considering how reckless and clumsy I can be. I would say i'm lucky if I believed in luck.

I once was trying to tune my violin without realizing just how much pressure I was putting on the pegs and just how out of tune my instrument was in the first place. Needless to say, two of the four strings snapped and sliced right into my hand. Good thing I was home anyways while doing that. I still have scars for trying to tune it while having a conversation with my grandma. Not fun.

I once stepped on a 6 inch rusty nail that was sharp-point up. Went straight through my foot. I actually didn't feel any pain at first and it just felt like a tiny stone had slipped into my shoe, needless to say I was rather shocked when I sat down to take my shoe off and find a giant nail wedged right into my foot. Went to hospital and they literally pulled it out with pliers (or at least it looked very similar). They had to cut off my favourite shoe too so they could get the job done.

At least my parents brought me a new piano keyboard for being so "brave" (I was 8 haha)

I've got about two injuries that are both tied for the worst  :P

In second grade, I fell off my bike and had my arm broke in two. I was so young i had no idea what to make of it. Had a cast of for a month and a half. My arm is still bent from it and there's a large bump in my skin where the bones healed.

A few years back, I dropped my soup and it poured it on my inner thigh. At first I thought "Oh a minor burn okay." Turned out to be borderline 3rd degree. Couldn't walk right for 2 weeks :c

I'm not sure if its the worst injury I had, but it was definitively the most major and recent. June or July of 2014 I was on a bike, and I was riding real fast through the park. I don't remember exactly what happened, the details are a little sketchy but do remember I got into an accident. I think there was a curb or something that caused me to do a full frontal flip or I turned the wrong way and I flew off the bike. Either way I was about to hit the ground and instinctively stuck my hands out in front of me to stop myself. Well It didn't work and my hands slid across the ground, causing multiple gashes across one of my arms and both of my hands. Also to add insult to injury, the bike ended up falling on top of me. I had to slowly walk home with the bike and bloody gashes on one of my arms and both of the palms of my hands.

About 7 years ago I was having a small water gun fight with a friend of mine when my younger brother decided it would be a great idea to take a large rock from my rock collection and throw it into the mud. That would have made me mad enough, but he decided to through it over me, and instead threw a rock into my face. It his my left side and I had to get special glue stuff a millimeter away from my eye. I have a scar that looks like a dent directly next to my eye.

As a kid, I'd say 12 years old, was riding a BMX bike in a skate park. Was jumping over the ramps and stuff. At one point I was speeding towards one of the ramps and launched myself 2 meters into the air and landed onto the metal bit of the end of the ramp instead of the concrete. The front wheel instantly slipped and I fell to the floor chin and face first. Went unconscious immediately. I woke up as paramedics and some other skaters were escorting me to the ambulance vehicle. I couldn't move my jaw. xP
