I honestly can't decide. I really love both of them, I liked BF3 because of the spectacular sense of realism and fluid movements and balanced multiplayer and all the great features. But at the same time I liked MW3's multiplayer features (besides game chat...) and the campaign was absolutely amazing (one of my favorites) so yeah I think they're both great games.

and for anyone who wants to respond: I am not a CoD fanboy I just appreciate a well done videogame and MW3 is one.

> ''well done videogame''

> mw3

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Easy.

MW3.

BF3 is probably a better made game but I don't like the BF games and I am unstoppable in mw3 free for all.

I don't think your skill in a game measures the actualy quality of the game. CoD is just easy. You don't need any tactics at all. You can just run around like a maniac and shoot anyone because there is literally no recoil. In BF3 you need to use teamwork and strategy instead of running around like a maniac thinking you are god. Yeah, there is no way that MW3 could ever stand up to a Battlefield game.

All of these CoD games now are just cut-and-pastes of the older ones with newer guns...

At least BF has realistic bullet physics, larger maps, ACTUAL TEAMWORK, vehicles, etc.

Battlefield 3 is a different military experience every single game. COD is almost like an arcade shoot 'em up witj twitch-finger reflexes. So I prefer BF3 over MW3 by a long shot. Plus Battlefield with friends is some of the most fun you can have on Xbox Live.

Lets see then.

BF3 could be classified as more realistic, has much better graphics, has the fantastic Rush game-mode and has an alright campaign.

MW3 could be classified as the more odd/quirky one, with more to do with its different game-modes and also a rather ridiculous campaign and, if I'm not mistaken, Spec-Ops which was actually pretty fun.

However, the simple fact that Treyarch/ Infinity Ward choke out a new COD game every year to keep the series alive merely suggests that the game itself gets boring very quickly and constantly needs revamps. Therefore, I would pick BF3 over MW3.

I'd still rather play Batman over either of them but meh, not every game can have Batman greatness.

I never said that my skill in a game affects the quality of it. Of course it doesn't. I even said that BF3 is a better made game. And please, don't be stupid. You do need tactics for objective game-modes. And you can't just "run around like a maniac and shoot". You will die if you do. I don't run around "like a maniac" when I play. And I don't think I am some sort of god.

The most of what you say in your reply is just hate..ish(?) and said for the reason to tell me how "bad" Call of Duty is. So what if the game is easy? Super Mario is easy, Space Invaders is easy, Pacman is easy. There are thousands of funny easy games. A game doesn't have to be realistic. A game doesn't have to be hard. Many people like it when the game is easy, because they doesn't want to bother with a game they think is hard.

I for one, do not care anything about graphics or how realistic the game is. I play a game if I find it funny or if I am good at it. I have tried all the Battlefield games, but I do not enjoy playing any of them. I am NOT a cod fanboy who just says "nonononono", says bad things about other games but never actually tries them, I do NOT dislike Battlefield because it is unrealistic, because even if there are one million things you can point out as unrealistic in a Call of Duty game, there are almost as many things you can tell is unreal about the BF games. Again, I do not care at all if it's realistic or not, but the reason why I don't like Battlefield is because it doesn't give me this "I get alot of kills and the gameplay is really fast-paste"-feeling. That is what I like about the CoD games.

My point here is that whatever is a terrible game to you, may be the best game for another person. And don't come with your "Call of Duty is a bad made game" bs, because it is not. You just happen to dislike it. I know they've been using the same engine over and over. But I don't care. I think the games are fun and as long as I enjoy playing them, I do not really care if they make any changes to it at all. I have never said that Battlefield is a bad game, because it is not. It is a very well-made game... ...Which I happen to find boring.

SO, whenever you're about to say anything about games you doesn't like again, please don't use a hater's words. Because I don't like when I have to tolerate haters. Love and tolerate, you know.

Oh and by the way, nopony ever said that the thread was about which one is the best made game. It is (as I understand it) which one of them you like the most, since the original post said "Battlefield 3 or Modern Warfare 3?"

TL;DR: I do not like haters, and your post made you look like a one. And I don't like when people exaggerate when telling what they doesn't like about stuff.

PS. Sorry for heating up in that "bs" part :3

Actually, here is the reason why CoD is a bad game. It's the same game every year with a new campaign and guns, the multiplayer stays the same. And what you said about needing tactics in multiplayer is invalid. Because you don't need any sort of teamwork, you can literally carry your entire team with no nearly no sort of skill. The multiplayer is completely unbalanced, the map design for it is the same for every map. And the overpowered weapons. The reason why you don't get the "I get alot of kills and the gameplay is really fast-paste" feeling is either because 1. You suck and need to practice more 2. You are playing on the 24 player console version. The reason why only the PC version is 64 players is because consoles can't handle that many players. And the last time I ever played MW3, I played a few rounds domination, and I saw no kind of teamwork or strategy, everyone was running around in circles like maniacs shooting eachother and insulting eachothers mothers.

Battlefield 3. I haven't played Modern Warfare 3 (except when at a friend's house), but I went to my school's video game club the day after it released and I thought I was watching Modern Warfare 2 gameplay... A week later, the club went back to playing CoD 2.

Battlefield 3 has more to offer, in my opinion.

As I just said, the game doesn't need to change. As long as I like to play the game, it is a good game for me.

"And what you said about needing tactics in multiplayer is invalid. Because you don't need any sort of teamwork"

I never said anything about teamwork. I mean tactics for yourself, if you know how I mean. When I play, I always ignore the other players and use my own tactic.

"You suck and need to practice more"

Yes, I suck at Battlefield. I don't want to practice more since I dislike the game. I don't understand why you even mentioned that the PC verision har 64 players. I already know.

So you are implying you will be buying the same game, every year?

And don't come with it has more weapons, maps or MP modes, because that happens in every new game.

I thought I got your post deleted for posting a picture only.

Anyways, yes I will buy every cod game as long as I like them. And for me, new maps and weapons are reasons enough to buy it

Teamwork and tactics lead to a good multiplayer game. Everyone running around like maniacs does not. And you just admitted to liking a horrible game. I hope you like screaming 6 year olds because that's all you hear when playing CoD. Actually, play about 3 hours of CoD and you can become the best babysitter in the world.

I can't even argue with you anymore, you just deny everything. You can't deny this, that CoD is the same game every year made just to whore out money from the idiots that still buy the same game every year. All you do in the multiplayer is run around in circles and shoot anyone you see. There is nothing else to it. In battlefield, you need to use teamwork and strategy. Since battlefield has actualy recoil and bullet drop, You can't just own everyone with an assault rifle from 10000 meters. And plus, there are actualy vehicles that help the teamplay, wanna hear something else?? The vehicles AREN'T completely overpowered and can be easily destroyed by other vehicles or lock on rockets.

I think the earlier CoD games (cod4, waw etc) were better than the earlier battlefields, but present day, MW3 v BF3, I pick BF3 because the overall game has improved, where as all the call of duty's are pretty much the same thing with different maps and guns.

  • 4 weeks later...

Both games are too different to compare each individual aspect with one another.

BF3 is better for PC because of its massive multi-player features (64 man matches).

MW3 for any console because of its "twitch" gaming style, which to me is easier on controllers.

BF3>MW3

MW>MW2>MW3

BF3=MW

There's my opinion. Battlefield is getting better both technically and gameplay wise, adding more and more features for each game.

Call of Duty 5 was the last spark of ingenuity in the series. Afterwards it just got really, really boring and really really repetitive.

I used to love CoD back in the WaW days. Untill MW3 came out, now everyone is a try hard/ loser/ no life/ or some sort of idiot. And everyother old CoD had little kids everywhere! Then I got into Battlefeild 3. It is a lot better than mw3 by a long shot.

Battlefeild 3 > mw3

Battlefield 3's mulitplayer is really fun, but the music for Battlefield 3 is so weird. Call of Duty games have fun replayable campaigns and very dynamic music.

this is based on how much fun i had with either games so i don't want and fanboy jumping on me because i'll pull out my trusty middle finger.

both single player felt the same moving on.

Multiplier - i always feel that BF3 is bigger and you always play a part in the battle however they have a habit of dragging depending on the number of players, MW3 always had a nice sense of flow to it but the maps for MW3 arnt as good as MW2.

but now that BF3 has close quarters i like it does MW's job better then CoD, and Mw3 introduced Mw2 map in and it just reminded me that Mw2 was better.

CoD elite is a rip off, BF premium does a better job by not making it subscription based

i do feel the BF3 is the better game because it has more to offer like dog fighting and tank battles.

however the FPS is a mundane genera and compared to games like Fallout, Deus Ex, ect both those games are trash.
