What was your first week as a brony like?

There was (and still is) a lot of criticism from my friends about me watching the show - they say it's gay/for girls or whatever. Anyway, I did notice that after watching a bunch of episodes I had a generally brighter outlook on life and I could enjoy the anticipation to come home and watch another episode. It also got me kind of interested in pony art and stuff like that, which previously I had not thought to be interesting :P

My first week kinda went like this. Saw the first episode, went in expecting to dislike it. Found it surprisingly good, but let off to my friend in Steam chat like I disliked it and stuff. Couple minutes later, I watched the second episode. Then, I overnighted a torrent of all the episodes to date, and watched 'em, first, a whole bunch at once, and then rationed them once a day. Seriously, I hate to admit it, but it was a weird psychological experience where, I guess I my brain just didn't know how to comprehend me liking the show or something. :P

Lets see, my first week of being a brony.... It wasn't that different really, most of my friends were already bronies at that point, I was the last one in my click to go look up the show. I guess I had a little more to talk about when i was with my i circle of friends, and I got some more of the jokes i didn't understand before, but other than that my life was pretty much the same.

well i was watching MLP FIM a bit before calling my self a brony, and i was becoming more Anti - Brony with in the second week because every time i voice my opinion and any Pony topics on the Equestria Forum or on Youtube it followed by people dog piling me and saying how i'm not a true brony or i'm just a troll and it got to the point were i was banned from the Equestria forums. so yeah i didn't like bronies that much after my first week.

My first week as a brony was not in any way different from any other week, except that I watched ponies. That's it really. Not very interesting.

Brushing your hair is for people who care and someone who cares is not I, I'll jump off a bridge and then fill up your fridge,
and best pony is Fluttershy.

My first week as a brony can be described like this:

poniesponiesponiesponiesponiesponiesponiesponiesponiesponies poniesponiesponiesponiesponiesponiesponiesponiesponiesponies

After that I somehow managed to manage my need for ponies and now I can have ponies, work and social life without problem ^^

The first week is the hardest. All I wanted to do was watch it! I couldn't wait to get home and I would count down the days till new episodes! My brother, another brony helped me through it. He taught me about fan fictions and got our sister to become a pegasister like me! He would give me scenes to draw and made me a deviantart account and told me his ideas for fanfics! It's the one true thing we connect over...

"What? Why doesn't it suck?"

"I'll just go back and finish this episode."

"I might as well watch this one, too."

"Maybe it'll make more sense if I watch the first episode."

"What happened to my life."

"Why."

"Oh well."

The same thing happened to me!!! I thought if I watched the first episode id understand. Then I watched my brothers favorite episodes and watched Sonic Rainboom and the Cutie Mark Chronicles and I was hooked.

It took me about 3 days to finish the series, then another 2 days i spent rewatching, i took breaks in between some number of episodes. I got lots of free time. After about 2 weeks of being a brony i started coming out as a public brony, and eventually bought a shirt.

My first week was actually quite uneventful, mostly because I was careful not to let it slip to any of my classmates that something was amiss. I'm actually pretty surprised that no one called me out on it - there came a time during that week when I was watching episodes in the school syslab, with students working to the left and right of me. And no one cared what I was doing. :)

Well, except for the teacher, of course, but that's what minimizing is for, aye?

First week? I think I ended up watching all the current episodes at the time (latest was Secret of my Excess).

I didn't tell anybody, and only a few friends know of my likings.

My first week was kind of boring.

Let me see: I watched the show at the beginning of August 2011, thought it was "meh," still watched it out of boredom, still thought it was meh, got to Winter Wrap Up, listened to said song, converted to bronyism forever, gained a whole new appreciation for the show and started to enjoy it more.

Thank you Daniel Ingram! Honestly though, I still get the most excited about a new episode when a hear the opening notes of a song. To think that season 3 is apparently going to have a song about every episode fills me with glee.

First week as a true brony I admitted it to my close friends, but I kept it hidden from my family. In that seven day period, I believe I was able to get away with watching all of Season 1 undetected.

I also remember I converted two of my friends to bronies in that first week.

My first week as an "Out of Closet" Brony was okay. Always getting Hated on by my little bro, and i kept getting asked if I was gay by my mom. It got annoying, but now that's gone. But It was alright! Not to bad!

-Celestia was my favorite pony

-I hated the theme song and skipped it every time

-Had no clue who of the main characters I would end up liking, as I had to see all the existing episodes first, to be sure

-Pony memes, pony memes everywhere

I kept hearing and seeing things about this show. Memes were showing up EVERYWHERE. At one point, Gagadaily (a big Lady Gaga fan site) started using pony emoticons. I simply had to check it out so I downloaded the entire first season. It was currently in an off season before the second. I fell in love and was so impressed with the animation and most importantly, the characters and world in which they live. MLP was successfully rebooted and vastly improved itself over its former incarnations. That's not an easy feat. So, in other words, I was super happy and enjoying the pony ride. Still am to this day. Well I have an infamous record of being deathly obsessed with shows and characters, so it was just another obsession to me. I didn't know however, that liking this show was like a secret club, that only bronies can enter. I felt no stress, and I didn't want to kill anyone!

~I love the way Storm Spark makes love to me! No one is as manly as he is~

Well, the first couple hours were me wondering why I was actually enjoying this. After a while of contemplating how to proceed, I came to the conclusion that I'm a freaking adult. Who is petty enough to care what I watch on tv in my spare time? Then I came to acceptance and began to watch the rest of the season :P

About three weeks later I joined these forums, which happens to be the forum I've been most active in. Ever.

First week? God, thats a long time ago. From December 23rd to December 30th. My first two days were spent just watching the show, I got about halfway through season 1. The Christmas rolled in and I basically forgot about the show (presents=fun). After New Years, I got back inti it though. I didn't get into the fandom besides 4chan until I caught up with all the episodes, in mid to late March.

First week "out of the closet" was in February, at first my friends and family ridiculed me as gay but after a week it two they got over it. I'm just glad that they don't know how much time I spend here and watching it :P
