Also Wired Al lost? Jesus he just told everyone the entire plot of Episode 1 in an "American Pie" parody. Hell he made Episode 1 enjoyable. Bah whatever I still have some tricks up my sleeve, Queen will when this thing so help me.

 

Errm...Anyway it's pretty easy to guess what I went with seeing as I'm the one who nominated Crush 40.

I've also never heard Crush 40 before. The only Sonic games I've played are the ones on Sega Genesis, so I've never heard their song before either.

 

I'm not really a fan of this genre, so neither song is really great to me. Live And Learn seems a little more melodic, so I went with that.

This pairing between Queen and Dire Straits is really unfortunate, since I think both of them are quite good and I enjoy both's songs. Maybe if they were spread out in the bracket, both of them might have advanced further.

Well Im going with Queen over Dire straits.... because Queen is just legendary (Long time Queen fan right here).... And the second one..... I think I prefer A day to remember, All I want..... This is unfortunate , round 4 is a loss because it won't do both bands either justice. A legendary band will wind up losing round 1.

 

However I am going to have to go with Sultans as I said before Mark's tone leaves me in awe. On the other hand Freddie's vocals are probably just as legendary as Knopflers tone.

Obviously I'm a fan of both Queen and Dire Straits, so being forced to choose between them is regrettable. I've never heard The Show Must Go On before, since I usually stick to looking up the hits, and that song only charted at #40 on the Mainstream Rock charts (which were only 50 positions long at the time); Sultans Of Swing was a big #4 hit on the Hot 100 in 1979, so I'm familiar with it. In all honesty, while The Show Must Go On is good, I think I like Sultans Of Swing better, so I'm voting for it.

 

I've never listened to Iron Maiden or A Day To Remember before; I'm voting for Iron Maiden since their song had a little better vocals and riffs, although I'm not a fan of either one.

I personally voted for The Beatles, because really, Anal Cunt? What was that? And America is one of my favorite bands in the oldies area, and I relate to Sister Golden Hair way better than My Curse. The lyrics are more sensational and uplifting, and the composition is more smooth and soothing.
