movies/tv Shows that made you cry

I can't shed tears. I've already shed all of mine long ago over something else. But a show that I'm emotionally attatched to is either The Walking Dead (Read the graphic Novel) and Breaking Bad. (Plus MLP, is so cute.)

Walking dead is awesome! *brohoof* for that! Breaking Bad I never got into as i'm not a tv watcher much. Now My Little Pony on the other hand... I probably read too much into it and I just love it little too much. LOL

I can only think of one right now that actually caused physical tears, from the anime One Piece.

The Going Merry, the ship had been with them from pretty much all of their journey, is damaged beyond repair, so they burn it rather than letting it rot slowly on the ocean floor. Everyone is sad, it's like losing a friend. Then the ship starts talking (magic or some s**t, it's anime, go figure) and all it has to say is 'sorry for not being able to carry you all further.' The captain says they should be sorry, for not taking better care of it, but Merry says he was always happy with them, and thanks them.

Damn boat made me cry.

My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. (Friendship is Magic Part 2; twice. Hurricane Fluttershy; three times. Luna Eclipsed; multiple times. and A Royal Canterlot Wedding; Once for part one, Twice for part 2)

Full Metal Alchemist. (The anime, not the brotherhood version, not the manga; multiple times)

Eureka 7. (Both the anime and the movie; multiple times)

EDIT: I don't care that these are games, I'm mentioning them anyway because they made me cry like a baby:

Fallout 3's good Karma ending. (The part with the picture in the end always gets me)

Elfen Lied. The manga did to a far worse degree though. Had me depressed for days. It's the kind of series that makes you hate the human race.

Ah! Another Elfen Lied fan, yeah it was quite dark and was quite cynical in its view on humans.

For me it was Pokemon, when Ash released his Butterfree, the first Pokemon he ever caught. I guess it’s not really from the show but the song from the soundtrack ‘My Best Friend’ put a tear in my eye too. Stupid overly emotional Pokemon. http://mlpforums.com/public/style_emoticons/default/dry.png

Orson's death in Chronicles of the Heroic Knight, no final words or anything, he just dies. It comes out of nowhere especially when you consider it's a retelling of the original Record of Lodoss War.

Fullmetal Alchemist. It's just so sad seing what Ed and his brother go through, and Nina... oh Celestia why? That poor poor girl. Also feel sorry for some of the antagonists that turn good in the show such as greed.

Anypony would be hard pressed to get me to hate them even if they were to attack me I would most likley considder their reasoning behind it and try my best to disuede them and help them. I have a disposition to want to eleviate the suffering of other beings, suffering myself just for having seen another in pain. I guess you could say I represent the very aspect of humanity. I always put others before myself. I will always choose right from wrong. Good from evil. I show Compassion and willingness to help others. I epitomize morality. We can go either way. White, black, or gray. That being said I would be considered the purest of whites (my ponysona just chose to be gray) siggy.jpg

  • 3 years later...

Inside Out made me cry in the scene where

Bing Bong faded away. :(

For the rest of the movie I started to tear up much too easily. It was pretty awkward in general.

That was the first and only time so far that I actually teared up while watching a movie. In the past I came close, but nothing came of it but extra-wet eyes.

When I was younger, I just had to let it out on the first two season 2 episodes (I don't remember if it was the beginning or the end of the season, but it's the episodes where Discord were introduced) but I probably wouldn't feel a thing watching it today considering I didn't feel anything on Tanks for the Memories. Short Circuit also made me feel sad when I was younger, but these days I just cannot cry.

The last episode of "Chrono Crusade" had me crying my eyes out. I won't give any spoilers, but it really was emotional.

"Outlaw Star". What can you say about Gene Starwing? He could have had literally anything conceivable by the human mind, and chose to save a girl instead.

Now for animated films. One scene in "Iron Giant". When the Giant closed his eyes and whispered Superman, it broke me up.

In "Kiki's Delivery Service" After Kiki lost her confidence and couldn't fly her broom, her new boyfriend Tombo was in danger. She borrowed a pushbroom from a maintenance man, and took off like a bat out of hell to save him. Those were tears of joy for me.

Now for live action movies. "On Borrowed Time" (1939) I defy anyone to watch that to the end and not cry.

King of the Hill made me misty eyed over a truck

Really though, Avatar and Gurren Lagann do a good job making me emotional

"Scrubs" has some real tear jerkers.
Especially with regard to Dr Cox's brother.

I cried during the pilot of MLP as well.  This is different from the scrubs example, because it was tears of joy, rather than of sadness.

It doesn't matter that it isn't real, shows can remind me of things that have happened in my life that were already emotional.

The Miyazaki that made me cry the most was "Only Yesterday".  But it was a tears of happiness movie.

I never get emotional over TV shows but the Futurerama episode about Fry's dog was pretty rough.  Just about the closest I have ever gotten to crying over a TV show.

Black bullet was one that actually got to me. Those of you who've watched the anime will probably know. Other than that I tend to break down at random things I find "beautiful" because handling emotion isnt something i've ever been that adept at
