Um... I'm no pro app maker... Nor do I have the money to get the apple license to put payfor apps on... Nor do I want to do it for free...

 

It would be an easy process... But... Time, impatience, and money is what I lack... So... Maybe sometime in the future il make one... But.........

I agree; we definitely need an MLP app.

 

The other day I was on the App Store because updates and the thought occured to me: "I bet there are a bunch of cool brony-made games and apps on the App Store."

 

Needless to say I was incorrect...the only brony-made app was the Equestria Daily platformer game with the sketch control scheme.

 

This struck me as a bit odd, because of how ridiculously creative bronies are. Maybe Apple is just biast or nopony wants to deal with the complex process of app submission...

Dude, if you make a legit MLP soundboard with all the well-known quotes from all of the characters, it will be a huge deal. I'd buy it, probably most bronies I know would buy it, and I would not rest until it gets featured on Equestria Daily so every brony can buy it.

There is a Gamesloft game coming to Android and iOS later this year.

 

You start as Twilight, building Ponyville. As you play, you unlock more characters.

I'll probably try it when it comes out.

 

Also, I noticed that they called Surprise Soarin for some reason.

I really wish that they would release some apps for Android. As per usual, Android gets ignored and Apple gets the app, despite the a amount of global users of Android being higher than iPhone/iPad users.

I'd just like to mention: there are quite a few bro inventions on the Android store..

We've got a few nice games; Cloud-Clearer, AB's Applebuck, etc.

Soundboards: TOO MANY!:)

Lots of themes: Twi, 'tia, etc.

All free too.

 

I'm gonna be annoyed if this new Game doesn't make it to 'droid. A lot of indie things end up on the Google play store, but not as many corp. Things as the apple thingy.

Well, I'm not too fond of tycoon or city management sim games, but it's cool that game loft is starting to make games and what-not. I can see why they would go city management sim though, it's hard to do anything too extravagant gamewise with MLP. I just wish they'd come out with a monopoly MLP inspired board.

I have a pretty nice Soundboard for my Windows Phone, along with a news hub- like app, but that's it. It puzzles me how there's not more pony on the App Store, though. I know theres some games on the AS that are essentially Doodle Jump and the likem but with OCs. Reviews arent too entirely favorable though, and I just dont do those games myself.

I noticed in the Hands On video that Rarity seemed as if she's a cash-currency unlock.

Gameloft sure knows how to get my money. :lol:

Just asking, but would people even download this had it not been MLP? I mean personally, I'm not really going to. It doesn't look like fun. Personally, many other games do this better, even if you have to cough up a dollar or two for them.

 

That's just what I saw from the trailer though. As to how fun the game is, no idea.

I've been playing it for a couple hours now so I think I have a decent grasp of how it works:

 

It is framed around Nightmare Moon's return, so you start off with the whole world covered in shadows and the only building/pony you have is Twilight and her library. However, you can use bits to buy new buildings as well as put ponies to work in those buildings to get you more bits. The more ponies you have in one shop, the more bits you can get. Some jobs require leveled up ponies, and ponies are leveled up by playing various minigames to earn star points, and then a flying minigame to claim the star once it's full.

 

Another form of currency is shards from the elements of harmony. These are used to speed up building, shoo away parasprites, buy your way into more lucrative minigame rewards, and activate elements of harmony.

 

Yeah, see, there's these monuments representing each of the elements of harmony lying around. In order to reach them you have to clear away Nightmare Moon's shadows by buying more land, thus giving you more room to build and bringing you closer to the elements. I assume when all the elements are activated Nightmare Moon turns into Luna and becomes buyable, since I didn't see Luna in the pony store.

 

Oh, and Derpy can be found sneaking around outside of town. I spotted her in a cardboard box. If you tap her, she drops money.
