I don't hate some of them. There are people on the forum that clop and use 4chan, and those people are perfectly fine. However, i'm talking about the people that make us look like dogshit. They refer to anything that isn't pony ass warship as "Gay", "Retarded", and "Autistic". Then, they have to go ruin art with people in it by adding hoofs. But the best part of it all, they want to fuck real-life horses. 

As I both use these forums and /mlp/ (4chan), I see plenty of "Autistic" posts on /mlp/. Lots of people on /mlp/ act like their better than everyone and they don't call themselves bronies. I would say the names but I might get banned for excessive profanity.

 

I really hate it when people have to ponify everything and bring ponies everywhere. Ponies don't have to be everywhere. Cloppers/R34: I don't care, just keep them in their designated areas. Gore/Grimdark: I don't care.

This is actually how I feel with Adventure Time. 

It used to be a good show, but it got boring and hard to watch any of the episodes.

I still go to an AT forum, but that's only to socialize about things other than AT.

I have such a strong, strong love for this fandom, but I would be lying if I didn't say there were a few things that bother me:

- the drama can be annoying, Twilicorngate and Equestria Girls hate has been absolutely awful this year, and who can forget Derpygate last year...

- the majority's overreliance to watching the show on the internet bothers me a little, this might be a somewhat controversial opinion but it's not a web series, it's a TV show and while I can understand using other means to watch if it's your only way, it should be watched on TV if one has the means to.

- the term 'closet brony', I'm just not fond of that lingo man...

Some of the fans that literally take this show way too seriously... Really that is my only complaint about the fandom that there are some fans out there who should take things a bit easy. Not everyone in the world *has* to like the show you know.

Hey, we all have problems with things we love, these are just small things to me honestly and nothing I would quit the fandom for.

I think the reason most people watch it online is because The Hub is a subscription service that not everyone has access to for some reason or another. That and the fact that some people don't want to get caught watching, and being on a laptop in your room gives you more privacy.

In all honesty, which may sound odd in how much i love Roleplaying. I really dislike MLP Rpers that just "one line" and call it "Canon RP". This is odd to say with out a example. But I am sure other Rpers can understand the "Oneliner" point. But what i mean by adding the Canon is well..geez this is harder to phrase then i thought, AH!.

 

"Hey Everypony! Gee that was a great Lunch, i like Totally should throw a party about how great it was!!" <--a Pink Pie example chat response with no action included.

 

Ahm, not EVERYTHING she does is a reference to a Party. Or.

Really? REALLY? Canon doesnt mean boring and under spoken.

 

And when you call these two on said RP "errors" or just plain lazyness they get all up in arms and scream "NO THIS IS HOW YOUR -SUPPOSED- TO RP THEM! GAWD!" or my fav response "What? You just want some clopping Mature fic dont you?!?!"

 

In short, lazy Rper in this fandom...annoy me.

 

Sidebar: I have no problem with Rule34 OR Clopping, and honestly to those that do..really? REALLY? This IS the internet, google the name of ANY female (of any species) animated/game/movie character and you WILL fine Porn related items CREATED by fans.

To hate on them is to hate on Fanfiction, or to hate on meme based videos or hell to hate on Gifs you all post in your damn quote boxs MADE BY FANS!

I'm not really very fond of the rule 34 or any of the more extreme grimdark. It's fine that people like that sort of thing, but I don't like seeing it in places where I'm not expecting it to be, which tends to happen a lot since most of the fandom seems to assume that everyone is fine with it.

My main peeves are as follows in no specific order:

 

R34/NSFW: I hate how everything nowadays is sexualized. Sex was supposed to a special thing between a man and woman in private. But now it's everywhere.

 

Human/Pony shippings: I just don't see how these are a thing. It's just pretty creepy to me.

 

Same sex shippings: I don't see any of the characters swinging that way. Likewise, you can probably guess from my first paragraph, I am not a supporter of same sex relations.

 

Clopping: Seriously, what the heck? How is this a thing? I don't see how anyone can find appeal in getting off to cartoon horses.

 

 

I hate when I'm merely browsing for art, or other such things, and I get struck with this stuff when I'm not expecting it.

 

Likewise, I dislike some of the grimdark elements of the fandom. I can't say I outright hate them, as I am a fan of Fallout Equestria (read it 5 times in two years). Likewise, there is some same sex shippings in that, but it's OC on OC. I am mildly OK with OC on OC, as they belong to you, so you can dictate how they behave.
I don't like same sex shippings when they're OC on Canon, or Canon on Canon, because as I stated before, I don't see any of the characters swinging that way.

Really tired of everyone being so pessimistic about the future, discussing how the show might end, this that and the other thing. It's always been around, but it bugs me more and more lately. It get's so monotonous and negative that I just avoid threads relating to those discussions in general.

 

Ehhhh we can do better than that.

• The fandom being overly pessimistic and over-dramatic about absolutely everything. Almost everyone seems incapable of seeing the rather sad pattern of 'Freak out, only to find out it turned out just fine, if not better than just fine' that's occurred about 6+ times so far, from Canterlot wedding to Equestria Girls, and everything in-between.
• Molestia is a stupid meme. Trollestia has it's cleverness, and it's usually funny, but Molestia is just a ponified Pedo Bear meme half the time.
• ^ Celestia, being the regal, mature one, gets nothing but negative memes for her. Meanwhile Luna gets waves of fan love and fun memes like 'Gamer Luna', being the under-appreciated, socially awkward one. Rather unfair if you ask me, even though I know why things turn out this way.
• I enjoyed Sombra, and didn't appreciate the flat out hate he got as a villain after the S3 premiere. After points were made, many people began to finally appreciate him for what he was and the role he played, but this plays into the overreaction thing. People are overly judgmental, way too quickly.
• 'Cloppers' is a term that doesn't need to exist, and shouldn't, imo. Every fandom in the history of existence has porn. It's called Rule 34, people. It's everywhere. Just because someone enjoys R34 of MLP instead of R34 of another cartoon does not make them a zoophiliac, nor does it mean they need to be ostracized into this presumed 'gross' class of people ('cloppers'), that need to listen to your bullshit opinions. Get over it, and stop letting things bother you when they don't affect you in any way.

Yeah, the porn threads are kinda under control now except when it's like midnight. I like MLPchan but I can't stand Ponychan, I guess /mlp/'s influence has finally got to me. There are still some good funny threads but it is like finding a needle in a haystack. A lot of the good content vanished after the "big purge." Moot finally allowed OC board ads and the the board trolling was pretty funny. Here's a list of some of them.

I miss the days when the fandom was just /b/, /co/, Ponychan, Fimchan and EQD (and the synchtubes).  All the imageboards pretty much hated each other, but everyone used most or all of them still.  It was less balkanized and more of a communal feel back then

Another thing that annoys me about this fandom is when the fans give a background pony an annoying character trait based only on one little action they did in the show. I'm also getting really tired of seeing these annoying fan-based traits and memes in just about every fan video or fanfics I come across.

 

I really don't understand why the fandom would make the background characters so one dimensional, when one of the reasons whey they like the show is for its dynamic characters.

 

Also, didn't the episode Bridle Gossip teach us not to jump to conclusions? And yet, that's what most of the fandom did when they saw Lyra or Derpy! Oh the irony!

 

Just because Lyra sat in a manner that a human would does not mean that she's obsessed with humans and (in extreme cases) has a hand fetish!

 

Just because Berry Punch is named after a drink does not mean that she's an alcoholic!(seriously, I have no idea why anyone would jump to such a conclusion)

 

And just because Derpy said "mmmmmm, muffins!" along with 2 other ponies does not mean that her entire fucking life revolves around goddamned muffins! Seriously, her cutie mark is a bunch of bubbles, not a muffin!

 

Sorry for ranting, but I had to get this out of me. I just can't take seeing these overused personality traits in just about every fan work I see.

There aren't really a lot of things I hate about the fandom, though some behavior of the fans might be a bit annoying.

 

One things that comes to mind is the overly fluffy ponies. I'm not saying no one can like them because that would be unreasonable, but for me a cute character is a character that is still in-character. I dislike forced cuteness like these things:

 

 

 

 

And yes, I especially dislike Fluffle Puff because she's the whole forefront of this forced cuteness movement. Some people might like forced cuteness, but I hate it. It doesn't feel cute or adorable at all. And it's not just the fluffy things, we've got ball ponies (if they gain popularity again I'll eat my shoes and film it) and dozens of re-colors of cute pictures which make the original picture feel stale and bland after a while.

 

This however is in-character and I find it very adorable because it fits RD very well.

 

 

 

 

That's something I could go in cardiac arrest for and then die happily with no regrets at all.

 

There's another thing that bothers me, and that's the whole attitude EQD has. It's like an overgrown conservative community that lashes out at everything it dislike in the same manner as the Westboro Baptist Church does.

 

Seriously, more than just a few times have they attacked an R34 artist because they dislike clop material. Heck, even Tiarawhy has been under fire and she's  great, wonderful and absolutely the friendliest person I've ever talked to. But just because she makes art SHE likes to make, OTHERS can't handle it and have to be so butthurt about it.

 

Of course the whole hate-parade and attacks aren't all by EQD members, but they're the ones I hear most about, even now I still hear about them. 

 

Another thing I hate is the whole herd/sheep mentality so many people have. So many wonderful artists with so much potential never get the chance to become popular, great tumblrs die out and nobody seems to give a damn. As long as the popular artists bring out art nobody gives a crap about the others and it's exactly this that I find a pity. I'm not trash talking about popular artists because their art IS very cool, but people should at least go the extra length and find out about other artists as well.

 

Besides that R34 haters are something I'm getting really tired of, I'm completely done with trying to reason with these people, I've explained it a million times with numerous amounts of other examples that fall outside of our fandom and they still don't get it. I'm done with that.

 

So not really a lot of things but still 2 cases of pretty vocal subjects within our fandom.
