Favorite MLP Shipping and Why?

I know, they're all Female/Female pairings, but I don't like Male/Female pairings for some reason....how odd of me...

Well it's not like you have too many options. You only have so many male ponies of note, and two of them (Mr. Cake and Shining Armor) are already in canonical relationships. I mean, Big Mac can't be shipped with *everyone*...

The problem with Fluttershy and Big Mac is that they're both too shy and soft spoken. Who would make the first move?

 

As for the Applejack x Rarity ship name, I've always preferred "Rarijack". It rolls off the tongue so much better than the other names.

I love seeing Derpy and Doctor Whooves shipped together. One thing I reall don't like seeing though is things like Rainbow Dash X Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash X Rarity, Applejack X Rarity etc... I don't think any of them are lesbians. Especially Rainbow Dash just because she is rainbow colored and tomboyish.

Lately, Twilight Sparkle x Shockwave has had some appeal to me.  They're both purple, intelligent, logical thinkers who can fire powerful energy blasts at their enemies.  The main difference is that Twi knows the power of friendship.  Shockwave is cold and calculating and wouldn't know a friend if one poked him in his solitary eye!

Rarity & Applejack, it's so wrong, but oh so right!! Who doesn't love the sophisticated lady being paired with the "uncouth" cowgirl?

I'm also partial to Rarity & Twilight Sparkle as well, so long as it's tame and in good fun. I'm not a fan of "sexsexsexclopclopsplurt" material.

 

I'm definitely not one who is interested in shippings, but I like how Applejack and Rarity interact with one another. The Crystal Empire part 2 gave us this little gem for all Rarijack/Jackity/Applity/whatever supporters:

Definitely cute. These two have really come a long way and have warmed up to each other a lot more since season one. I agree with them being "right" since they're opposites.

Opposites often attract, and Rarity and Applejack are just about as opposite as you get find. They need more episodes together, Look Before You Sleep and Sleepless in Ponyville have shown that the two can play off each other really well, better than the rest of Mane 6, I'd say.

The one that seems to be the most potentially amusing is Pinkie + Celestia actually.   Actually if Pinkie became truly interested in any of the ponies it would really mess with the dynamics, but I think Pinkie could even break Celestia eventually.

Hm... I'm actually not that big into shipping in MLP.  But the only pairing I'm fond of is Cheerilee x Big Mac, because it's adorably fitting, at least for me.

Yes, and twice as bright was what made me THINK about just how powerful a determined Pinkie Pie could be with regard to ensnaring the affections of another.

Applejack X Rarity i don't know why i see those two together but opposites do attract. Spike X Rarity was my favorite until Rarity acknowledged it. Fluttershy X Big Mac does seem interesting because they are both... well shy.

My favourite is Twilight x Pinkie Pie (Twinkie Pie?) I just love how they go together with Twilight being calculated and planned out whilst Pinkie is impulsive and erratic. I just got up to date on The Baker and The Scholar which I found very good (Did use a toned down version of Pinkie. But hey, any story in which a character studies a book of "special positions" is good enough for me.)

I supposedly have a post in here somewhere, but I have no idea where in the thread and don't feel like finding it. Instead I'll just answer assuming I hadn't ever answered before.

I like a great many ships. Quite possibly my longest running favorites are TwiShy and Twinkie, TwiShy because it always seemed like there was much they could bond over(their mutual anxieties and shared love for science and understanding of flora and fauna, as well as shared love of calm environments and silence) and Twinkie for a great many of psychological reasons dealing with how they just seem to click together, balancing every little last strength and weakness.

But I do like most other Mane Six ships as well. So much so that I almost don't like the ships being individual, because I like them all so much that they all deserve to happen. Fortunately, there is a solution my friends and I like to employ, one I happen to love very much for its own sake anyway: The Omniship!

What makes the Omniship so good? Well, every Mane Six ship can fit within it, and it actually provides a level of support for some of the weaker Mane Six ships. Some ships, such as Apple Pie, or FlutterPie, or TwiDash, might be too weak on their own to stand up without support from the others. Plus, they're all such wonderful friends who really care for each other. I am polyamorous, so I don't see anything but good in all six of them begin together in one giant relationship. It'd definitely be complicated, but I think it's beautiful.

Plus, they did say they loved each other in the season three finale.



You could even argue the coronation was an Omniship wedding in disguise. A few of my friends do, and I share that little headcanon, for Reasons.
