Well, I have a pretty damn old computer monitor and computer that still work, but that's all I can think of at the moment.

 

EDIT: I see that other people are posting stuff that aren't really that old, so I will as well:

A Nintendo 64, a gameboy color, a gameboy advanced and some random happy meal toy video game.

I have an atari 2600 from the 70s or 80s that still works, A Sega master system also late 80s still works and a chainsaw from the late 60s hasn't been used in years but should still work, oh and an Amstrad pcw 8256 and printer from 1985 its had minor repairs but still works fine. Those were from a time when things were built to last Iv had the master system for 22 years and it has thousands of hours of play on it and original wires, pad and games and it still works fine. Iv gone through 4 xbox 360s in 5 years, The rest of the stuff I own is cheap Chinese junk and most if it has something wrong with it. 

 

 

ps and an original game boy with Pokemon red I forgot about that.

well, it's not old as in i've owned it a long time, but i have a lot of music that's a few decades old that works perfectly. i think the oldest records i own are from the 70's or so, and they work perfectly.

 

other than that, umm, my dad has a lot of old cassette tapes he has played i don't know how many times... and they've never broken. other than that, i don't think i own that much stuff from old age that still works.

From deep in the bowels of Artemis' garage comes a Sony reel-to-reel audio tape recorder circa 1974.

 

 

It still works, but of course you need tape reels for it (which I don't have) and speakers for playback.

 

 

But wait, there's more! Look, it's even compatible with the new MIDI format!

 

I also had an original Gameboy that I received for Christmas as a little boy, but that was destroyed by rat urine in the shed and discarded a year ago. My Game Boy Color is still around here somewhere. Anyway, here's all of the older consoles that I grew up playing:

 

 

Well, I didn't exactly grow up with the Dreamcast, but it was being stored with the others. Never owned an Atari but one of my uncles did. They're easy to come by so I plan on buying one at some point.

 

 

What's with people in here classifying PS2 era stuff as "really old?" Or even PS1 era stuff?

I have a computer that's older than me, and it still works (I'm using it right now!).

My dad's car is also really old, also older than me.

Also, there's this box of taco shells in the fridge that's been expired for almost a year now...

Well lets see...

 

The oldest thing I have though is a really old double barrel shotgun that was made back when they spun metal wire around a pipe and then fused it, you can still make out the spiraling, and I have been advised to never fire it unless I feel like blowing the barrels apart. It was made in 1897 according to the date stamped on the side. I'm sure with custom shot it would work though since the safety still works, it cocks, and fires when the trigger is pulled.

 

A WW2 officer coat, since I can still wear it does that count as "working"?

I also have an 80's RCA HQ VCR, an Apple PowerBook G3 Lombard, Mac Mini G4, and a bunch of other odds and ends (toys like G1 Transformers) I suppose.

 

Maybe these are getting too "new" so I'll end in saying that my daily driver is a 1974 Jeep Gladiator that is about as close to mint a Jeep should be.

Hm. I have a car from the late 70s... It totally works, but I can't afford to drive it around (the silly muscle car gets hideous gas mileage).

Pretty much all of my older Nintendo systems, N64, Game Boy Color, and SNES are a few that i have owned for pretty much all the time i have been gaming and work fine to this day(GBC speaker is very weak now however). Other systems like NES/FC, are technically old but i got them later on from family members and online, still amazing how well they work for being literally 25+ years old.

My dehumidifier at my Grandmother's house was created in the mid-1950s. It still works.

 

We also have these Christmas decorations called "singing-choir people" from the 1960s. Our family's been putting them outside since we bought them for under a dollar. Maybe I'll post a pic later, if I have time.

I'm currently using a mouse that came with a computer that ran Windows 98, and it still works like a charm. It's pretty much been used constantly since then too, which makes it even better. My brother also uses a computer monitor that was intended to be used with a Commodore 64 to play N64 games on.

 

My drumkit is from the early 1960's, and it's in pretty good shape (considering the age of it). The hardware needs a good polishing, but other than that it looks and sounds pretty good. If only I had a good set of heads for it...

 

Uh... my mattress is from the mid 1980's, does that count?

Hmmmm. I have a Mossberg 500 shot gun from...God only knows how long ago. I bought it from my neighbors grandmother, She said she had that gun since she was in her mid 20s. So im guessing(pulling a SWAG)(SWAG is a military term by the way. it stands for Scientific Wild A** Guess) But I believe its 40 or 50 years old. And it works! I love hunting with it!

My N64 That I got as a kid.  I just plugged it in a few days ago to play some super mario 64 and it work great even after 10 to 15 year later.  Wish paper mario would still work BUT my wii solved that problem.

I also have an emergency flashlight (the one that can last a day and freakishly tall). If i recalled correctly my father bought it almost 20 years ago. It has been repaired many many times before, there is no original bulb remains.

an Atari (that was my dad's) (with the worst game of all time: E.T)

 

A PSX (ps one) with all 3 Spyro the Dragon games (spyro, ripto's rage, year of the dragon)

 

A SNES with super mario world, mortal kombat 3.

 

A NES with super mario/duck hunt double feature, and double dragon.

 

yeah...basically my dad is one of the 1st Gen gamers in existence 1970-2000, me being the 2nd generation 1990-present.

I have my Nintendo 64 still. I lugged that thing over to Iraq, and Afghanistan, and it served me well on both tours =). I still play it at least once a month (sometimes a lot more!) IMHO Nintendos best system EVAR!!!!!
