gaming What Video Game levels/bosses make you rage?

When you finally beat that difficult boss you spent days on... And then promptly get killed by a leftover stage hazard.

THE WIL\Y/BOWSER/WART FIGHT IN I WANNA BE THE GUY!

Right after that boss you get a check-point after one last room  to go through. I died on that room 3 times and gave up.

Fallout New Vegas always crashing.

Playing Fifa 14, it's impossible not to be angry while playing that game. Don't get me wrong, I love it; but it just manages to hit you right where it hurts.

"Kaizo Mario". Yep, I think that sums it up. VERY restrictive time limits, deaths after you cross the ending of the level, cruel level design... Yeah, just that game in general.

Pokemon Leaf Green nuzlocke: Dugtrio dying to Gary's Gyarados using thrash on a crit. My jaw dropped when that happened. It was turning into my strongest pokemon at the time.

Paper Mario TTYD: the creepy steeple level. So. Much. Backtracking.

There's games that you love games that we hate but every game has at least once made you so angry you threw your controller/mouse. The two games that always made me rage quit was dark souls and team Fortress two. Don't get me wrong Team fortress 2 is my favorite game of all time. I play a lot but you always run into that one jerk in the lobby who is either a troll a dick or both. Then there's Dark souls there is no game harder than that one except maybe Cat Mario.

Now I want to know which game made you rage quit the most.

Well not long ago I just quit Mine craft because zombies glitch killed a entire village I made even though the doors were closed and they never broke in.

Well i remember my dad Struggling at Tomb Raider Anniversary once he threw the controller out of the window. It involved poles and lava. I though. Because of my Tourettes. Can lose focus. And when i play F-Zero GP Legend on my DS. I Always get upset when i crash in a major race in the story. And i also don't like the fact that some levels are very Big and Long. Can you recommend me any games that have very short(and easy) levels?

Jasper-Mother-Fricken-Batts-Jr. in No More Heroes 2. How could a boss right off the heels of Alice Twilight be so horrible that it is the only thing that keeps it from being better than the first one?

I have that game and he was a pathetic excuse of a final boss.

  • Dying right after spawning repeatedly (Battlefield 4)

Zombies glitching up stairs, and through walls and killing me. (DayZ standalone)

Having the ONE Pokemon I'm trying to level up die mid battle. So much XP lost! (Pokemon)

Oh oh! I got one. A a friend of mine raged so hard on MK DS that he broke his DS. Good times...:)

I don't rage, just silently turn whatever system off and leave

I don't rage quit, I leave with dignity like a gentleman. -_-

However, when I do quit, it's usually for these reasons:

Hacking and bad/abusive moderation.

The only game I've played in single player that I've quit on is Minecraft. All it takes is one bad creeper accident.

Some ones not being honest (sings)

Raging isn't in my programming. I play in deathly silence. Some have said it's kinda creepy the way I don't say anything while playing. :P

Also, Dark Souls is only hard if you don't know things (for the most part). A lot of the knowledge you'd have to have a guide or read a walkthrough to know unless you're really REALLY good at figuring out how a game ticks. I know, I know. Everyone has difficulty with different things but I generally suck at games and found Dark Souls a WHOLE lot easier after learning how the game works via friends and reading a shit ton of the wikidot articles. It's a game that enforces know-how and slower, more deliberate gameplay. It's not twitchy, reaction-based gameplay like hack'n'slashes. Rushing is a surefire way to die in those games.

Last thing that got me to majorly ragequit was the Cave of Ordeals from Twilight Princess. Once I got down to the floor that was crawling with these assholes, my "cool" was lost.

...My Game Cube memory card is still dented from where I chucked the controller at the system, but hey, everything still works fine.

Those guys are a pain in groups but they die easily at least. It's the floors with two or three dark knuts that get me. Fuck those guys.

Normally I take them out with either the ball and chain or bomb arrows, but I was almost out of bombs by that point, and I kept getting speared by friggin' ice javelins before I could line up a decent shot with the ball and chain.

Needless to say, I made sure I was armed to the teeth next time I went in and rained fiery, explosive death down on those pricks while laughing maniacally. :umad:

 That's the way to go. I try to ball and chain them myself but that's simply not realistic when you have a rain of icicle spears coming at you. The ball is way too slow at that point so the bomb arrows work much better, even if they aren't quite as powerful. Some damage is better than no damage though.

I haven't played TP for a long time. Mayhap it's time for a replay soon. It's my favorite Zelda game.
