Fender 1,283 December 19, 2012 Share December 19, 2012 Right everyone, as the title suggests: Let's talk relationships. I suppose I should elaborate more. This topic will mostly apply to people ages 13-20, and more or less, let's all just share and discuss what kind of relationship we all want, the kind of significant other half we're looking for (or at, for some of you), and even discuss who you may already have and why you like them. I'll start, I guess. At my high school, there is this wonderful young lady who comes off as somewhat shy and a little bit secluded, but it makes my day when I can make hers. I get more enjoyment than ever by just doing something nice for her. When I make her smile and laugh is one of the greatest feelings ever. She has a sweet voice, smile, and she is gorgeous. She is only my crush as of now, but I can live with that, I would like to take this slow, and when the time comes, make it work. Now, I may go a bit in depth, you guys don't have to, but please do respond. I want to see what kind of romantic interests the brony community has. Post away!
Sky Warden 2,243 December 19, 2012 Share December 19, 2012 (edited) Romantic interest 'eh? Well, interesting. For me, a relationship is something which complete you. I'm personally a passive man, very passive and lazy, but you can just say, patient and calm. I can spend my day all alone, enjoying the nature and the living around me, but well...That's kinda plain and...plain isn't it?I'm looking for the one, who can give me more color in this life. Who can fill my world with her joy, since I don't really have any. I'm plain. I don't really care about how does she looks like. Personality is the most important thing to me in romance and I don't mind to wait for the rest of my life for the one. Edited December 19, 2012 by Sky Warden 2 Pinkeh asked me to put this here. Betez 1,734 December 19, 2012 Share December 19, 2012 Alright, let's do this: I'm 14, and I've been single my whole life. I know it hasn't been that long. Anyway, there's this girl in my Biology class. I've known her since 3rd grade, but I think I kinda freaked her out back then. But I've changed and she doesn't seem to be scared of me. She's blond, really pretty, and as far as I know she's single and nobody's tried to make a move on her. I've had a crush on her for a really long time, and I've wanted to ask her out for a while, but she always walks out of class with her friend, basically ruining my chances of getting to talk to her. This is the only class I have with her, so I don't see her any other time of the day. 2 My OC Stay pony my friends"And ALWAYS remember...to never forget." - Someone who I'm sure has said this before I did

Take it kind of slow, become kind of a close freind, just do whatever nice things you can for her, then at some point you can express to her how you feel, and don't worry if someone else hears it, at least you'll have been gutsy enough to have even told her at that point. Zygen 6,066 December 19, 2012 Share December 19, 2012 Hm. Ok well I have a crush on a girl at my school, shes so beautiful her hair just sparkles brightly in the sun, and her smile is so beautiful, and shes really nice and thoughtful and helpfull, she also helped me fit in after being homeschooled for so long last year. Thats part of the complication of why i can't date her, or even ask her out. Another reason is shes leaving this summer :/ so I don't know if I'd have a chance for anything. Plus she doesn't seem interested in dating guys yet, much less me.(I have suspicions that she likes someone else, but I don't have any real proof.) So yeah, it sucks because of the complications I have listed and more, I'm sorta screwed outta ever dating her. Its heartbreaking honestly to think about, so i try to avoid the thought as much as I can. its hard to though as I have classes with her and just looking at her is just shes so beautiful. Its my first crush, but I've even dreamed of our future that will never happen together. I'm not in a rush to date someone, but I do have pretty strong feelings for her. Of course I'm also very shy, and have never asked anyone out before, plus many other complications factor in and yeah... In the end I have no chance, so i just try and do my best to be somewhat like friends. She sometimes pays attention to me, but alot of times I feel like she doesn't know I exist. However even the smallest phrase she speaks to me, or sometimes even just a simple hello or a smile from her to me makes my day. It just becomes the highlight of my day! Anyways I'm getting a bit carried away on my love life. (Well not really love life since it doesn't technically exist..) So yeah... 1 Thanks to Gone Airbourne for the awesome sig! jackleapp81 456 December 19, 2012 Share December 19, 2012 Oh boy. This is kind of a tough one for me. I've had a few high school romances that didn't really go anywhere, but I guess what attracted me to those girls in the first place was their quirkiness. Every time I meet a girl who's willing to embrace nerd culture in some way, shape, or form, I tend to fall for them. It's a weakness of mine. I say weakness because I tend to overlook their bad qualities before it's too late. I dated a girl named Jenny who was gorgeous and obsessed with Doctor Who, but she was waaaay too clingy. She would call me "The Doctor" too whenever we would do something even remotely romantic, which creeped me out a little bit. That relationship didn't last long. I guess the ideal girl for me would be somebody who has similar interests, and who is nice. I'm not too picky 2 My OC: http://mlpforums.com/page/roleplay-characters/_/hoofy-harrington-r5911

I know that maybe you often heard about this one, but really, don't try to be someone else when you're with her. Just be you, and be honest about who you are and what's your bad side. NostalgicPony 310 December 19, 2012 Share December 19, 2012 (edited) Right, let's spice things up a bit. Firstly, love relationships for me are a little different then most people. Because I am Pansexual I don't necessarily fall in love with someone at first site and definitely not because of the specific physical factors of someones body. For me it takes a while so I can get to know someone better and understand them on a deeper level as well as analyzing their character. I have no barriers on gender type so I can love a male or a female, It's not their gender that attracts me on a deeper level but the person. Secondly, I am also a polyamorous person, meaning, I am not monogamous and do not mind having more then one love partner as long as everyone in the relationship is OK with it, aka. Consent and honesty. My personal emotions and philosophy do not agree to the idea that my love should be restricted to just one person and that I feel completely comfortable loving others, it makes me feel like I can connect with others more. Call me greedy or immoral, but that is just how I personally align myself with those kinds of relationships. Thirdly, Sex is not a main component in my relationships. I am not attracted to the idea of sex and find pornography to be un-arousing. I am not very good at being romantic and sometimes get awkward when I try to be. I welcome holding hands, hugging, snuggling and even kissing with others that I know very close. I guess I just want to be a lovable guy with everybody. We're both bronies too, and we're metalheads. We met on a gaming site in October 2010. We fell in love quickly I think and we got together in 29th July 2011. We live 8 hours from each other though. I hate it. This is my first relationship anyway.

~Master~ Button Mash 2,307 December 19, 2012 Share December 19, 2012 Let's see: I'm 19, I'm a freshman in college, and I'm currently single even though I've been in a few relationships in the past. However, I might be in another relationship soon, and I have high hopes. There's this girl that I've known since grade school, and we want to take our relationship to the next level. We've gone on a few dates so far, but they've been more friendly get-togethers than serious dating. We both have a lot of other stuff on our plates and we want to take it slow. Now a topic to throw out for discussion: common interests, how important are they? One of the reasons I have such high hopes with my friend is because we have a lot in common. We have similar tastes in music, we have similar tastes in humor, and I even think she might be a pegasister. At the same time my best friend has been in a relationship for going on 2 years ( a storybook relationship, they've never had a serious argument), and they have a common love of superheroes and punk rock. At the same time I didn't have a lot in common with my exes when it comes to interests. I know a lot of experts say that common interests are not an important part of relationships, and that opposites attract, but from my experiences the exact opposite has been true. 1 Follow me on Tumblr! http://stratosthestallion.tumblr.com

Remember, no matter what you do, timing is a key thing, don't overdo or underdo things. I make it sound far too complicated, but, I understand the concept. Well its unfortunately alot more complicated due to me being shy. And waiting isn't going to be much of an option with like 8 months or something till her leaving. Only thing I have to keep in touch with her is facebook, and even then she doesn't get on very much. Plus she's shy, but doesn't really act like it except around people she doesn't know very well(Which seems to be very little and somehow consists of me sometimes and sometimes not?) Honestly I think shes ignoring me sometimes, and sometimes I feel like she makes an effort to involve me into a conversation. Then it'll go back to the time of ignoring me. Right now she seems to mostly be ignoring me, not sure if its because she doesn't know how to talk to me, or because I'm shy or what. To complicate things more, I'm friends with her older brother, who jokingly told me I should go out with her at a sleepover, then told me thats a horrible idea(In a bit of sarcastic tone. but idk.) Her little sister loves me, and her mom is a great person who i've actually been able to vent to once or twice. But that almost makes the whole thing all the more awkward. Add that in with the fact that I just highly doubt she has any interest in me(Or if she even has interest in any guys yet) plus either I'm being paranoid or she might like other guys. Both are possible. Theres a few other things throw in that make it all the more complicated, and plus the lack of experience and I just can't see it happen. Heck I couldn't even ask her for her number probably, and I already can't message her ever on facebook(I've messaged her once, but it was a really short conversation where she had to go within a couple minutes of talking.) I've posted on her wall once or twice, and shes posted on mine once or twice, but thats about it. As for IRL she actually invited me to sit with her and her friends all of 8th grade(Last) school year. And shes had a couple times this year and other times randomly where she tries to make me feel accepted into things. And she'll even start conversations and stuff with me. But alot of that has died down over the year and its gotten to be very rare that she'll ever say anything to me. Its quite heartbreaking really. I swear sometimes I think she wants to include me, and other times I feel totally ignored. Shes sending me alot of mixed signals. I don't really wanna hijack this topic or anything though, thanks for your encouragement. Thanks to Gone Airbourne for the awesome sig! Archi the Atmomancer 564 December 19, 2012 Share December 19, 2012 I am also 14, and happen to sit next to a lovely brunette in science. She has a very cute face and seems fairly quiet and smart, which are rare traits in my school and ones I look for as I share them myself. I asked her for her number but then some drama kicked off and her friends made a big fuss about it, leading to her rejecting me, but I believe she may be interested in me as she starts most of our conversations and after some other girl I rejected told her I break a lot of girl's hearts one of her friends came over to ask if I did, which led me to believe that she cared as why would she ask if she felt otherwise? Unfortunately I am way too nervous and scared of rejection to ask her out, although I may ask her out to lunch after christmas if I don't wuss out. Maxos 84 December 19, 2012 Share December 19, 2012 (edited) I guess I'm up for a relationship. But I have no one that I have any interest in as of now. I am 17 years old who lives in Canada on a farm. I have loved then I've lost. Main thing I've learned is you don't let parents take over you're relationship. Now I'm suppose to explain the things that I am looking for in a relationship? Oh, Dear Celestia. I guess what I would consider in a relationship to be acceptable would be holding hands, hugging, kissing, holding each other. But I don't think I'll ever meet someone to be in "touch" with. So what I would like is a girl that I can talk to with whatever, even personal matters. Someone that I can treat like a real person, not a princess. Because I am not going to spoil the one who is perfect. I'd make music and write entire love letters to her. Let her know that she's beautiful every single day. Her personality can be professional, or dorky. I don't control anyone, especially a girl. So whatever fits her life style I find to be more beautiful then what I could ever dream up. Of course I'd like the relationship to be equal and slow paced, because it is always better to show who you really are and they love you for you P.S. I'd like a pegasister preferable, because it would be nice to have a movie night on a episode of MLP. By the way all of this I am expecting to do over the internet because of long distance. Now a special thanks to for making me feel like a creeper But at least the topic is indeed interesting, so I wanted to participate. - Maxos Edited December 19, 2012 by Maxos 1 Knowledge is power. Quirky and wierd, but really fun to be around. I can't live one day without laughing like an idiot. I have a huge on this one girl who's in a couple of my classes. She's beautiful. Although we've never said a word to each other, i'm sure she doesn't hate me or anything. I don't think there's a chance of us going out anytime soon.
