If the voting was legit, there is a good chance we would lose to Korra.

 

And for good reason.  I love MLP and have seen each episode more times than could count, but Korra has a lot more in the way of universal appeal.  Both shows share a lot of great elements:appealing visuals, engaging characters and a good balance between action, comedy and drama.  Korra's just more...accessible, and doesn't have nearly as much of a stigma.

 

And for what it's worth, I've only seen a handful of Korra episodes, and I would have voted for MLP (if I knew about the poll, or if I'd even heard of tv.com to begin with).

I'm not sure how I feel about this. While I'm happy MLP:FIM did well, I wonder how much bronies were bias, refusing to vote for shows they thought were actually better because they felt obligated to the fanbase. That's not even mentioning the cheating through bots.

 

Also, while I'm happy It got third, I wish Young Justice had won, it really is a great show and it's been royally screwed over by its network. A four month gap in the middle of the series, three episodes (one that wasn't released on TV, only Itunes), then another three month gap. Winning might have made CN wake up and give it more respect.

 

I just hope this result doesn't bite us in the ass, networks broadcasting girlish cartoons trying foolishly to compete with MLP rather than making mature and intelligent cartoons(not saying MLP isn't) like the ones in 2nd and 3rd place.

...for the Hub.  Best season premiere ever for the Hub.  Crystal Kingdom still had less than a million viewers.  

 

I'm not trying to be a curmudgeon, but c'mon, guys.  It's not like our show has numbers quite as high as some of the other shows that appeared on that list.

 

South Park season 14 and Bob's Burgers season 2 both had between 2 and 4 million viewers per episode.

 

Shit fests like American Idle get 10x that.

 

Nah, I'm kidding. Still, it isn't hard to believe that well over 5 million people enjoy the show, even if 5 million people didn't vote.

Wow, 5,000,000 votes for MLP. That sure is a lot of votes. I'm very surprised that we beat The Legend of Korra considering they have a lot of fans as well as MLP. But we did it, we were voted best animated show of 2012. May we raise our cups to celebrate our accomplishment. Good job every pony.

I hate to be the black sheep here but am I the only person here that feels bad for the other shows. I mean we beat them so bad we have more votes than all the other shows combined (even that doesn't come close) in short they didn't even have a chance. I kinda thought that post in Equestria daily was responsible for the flood of pony votes and that's what broke the poll so badly. Not that I'm complaining MLP won the best animated show of 2012 after all I do believe it deserves it. Its just that with so many votes is was partially no competition and they mine as well should've gave the award before it even started (Its like watching a football team getting dominated in the super bowl what's the point of even watching...)

 

 

 

Anyway I just wanted to share my honest opinion. Im glad MLP got its award all more the reason why it's so awesome. Keep calm and Brony on everyone!

This is insane. This community is amazing, all the bronies. Seriously its astounding.(Although 5 million bronies and I can't get any at my school? Thats insane.. .)

 

Seriously, just take a look at all the wonderful creative wonderful people that make the amazing things we made all of the wonderful musicians, artists, fanfics, animations, parody's, EVERYTHING. Not to mention all the people who's ENTIRE lives have been changed, not everybody has been changed majorly, but for some people this show has literally saved their lives. Think of that..

 

Not to mention all the help offered by people on forums like these, all the accepting people, all the people coming together from cultures from every corner of the earth, coming together united by one thing.. A Tv show called MLP. And we treat each other with respect despite all of our differences.

 

Imagine how many bronies are in the world if we got 5 million votes.. Thats not including the bronies who didn't vote(I didn't because I didn't know this existed to be honest .) Think about how big this community is.

 

This is literally one of the most wonderful choices I made, seriously just take a minute to put in some nice relaxing music and think about all the things us bronies have done. Heck we've even done some charity! We've made hasbro recognize us. The company responsible for the show. All the memes, everything, I may have not been here for the birth of the bronies, or even the forums, but I can feel the progress from start to finish of this great undertaking.

 

So give yourself a pat on the back, even if you didn't have anything to do with voting or any of these things, just give yourself a pat on the back for being a part of such an amazing community.

 

 

So haters.. 5 million votes from bronies.. Thats atleast 5 million confirmed bronies right? I'd like to see the haters stand up to that .

In the comments, people on all sides pridefully described how they had used bots to perform thousands of votes per minute. The comments were choke full of people saying "The system is broken. It shouldn't be this way, but I've voted. 100+ times anyway." Even the EqD announcement about the poll mentioned that it could be exploited.

 

By the way, you admitted it in your own post: You didn't know the poll was going on. EXACTLY. Very few people knew and there were 5 million votes for MLP? Hell, the Derpygate petition, which Bronies cared about more than a TV Guide poll and which got 5 times the publicity in the community, received about 45,000 signatures, many of them multisigs.

 

The numbers are inconceivable even without evidence. I saw the proof myself. You can find it too if you dig through archived comments. Just please don't attack me for sharing my information

If you didn't do it, I was going to. There's just no way that 5 million folks out there cast one separate vote for MLP. Heck, the President had to fight tooth and nail for that many votes in a state, what makes ya think a kids show could garner that kind of numbers? Nah, this was purely hacked to bits, or someone sitting by their computer clicking their nights away.

 

Don't get me wrong, it's cool that the show won and all, but the sheer massive gap in the win numbers says that it isn't a legit victory, and that kind of cheapens it for me...
